Good door-size gate
We have a problem where we need to keep one of our cats separate from the others. The problem is that the only viable space gets way too hot to have the door closed. After doing a lot of research, I settled on this brand/size. The intent is that it would allow air flow into the room, and the oversized gate would allow them to interact without being near each others. Out of the box, it's a mix of decent pieces and some that feel cheaply made. I would have liked the gate portion to be thicker/sturdier but compared to the others one I looked at, this one is pretty good (4 stars). It took a while to put it together and I ended up needing help because at least one of the holes wasn't large enough and he had to drill to widen it (2 stars). And it took a while for him to put it together but he succeeded. Two of the pieces that are important (the latches) are made of plastic and I can guarantee they will break and we'll have to cobble together a fix (2 stars). But it fit in the doorway and I can still close the bedroom door if needed (4 stars).
Yes, I recommend this product.
