Sufficient for Purpose
I like this gate, but there were a few issues I had to find solutions to.
Pros:
The overall gate works well. It's tall enough that the cats can't get over it, and the bar spacing is close enough that none of them can squeeze through. The non hinge tension rod stays in place well. Assembly was fairly easy and intuitive.
Cons:
The latch that is provided seems to require the tension bar be about an inch or two away from the door frame, which takes away space inside the doorway. I was able to use a kennel latch that I had laying around as a substitute (some shimming required).
I also had a problem with the auto close feature for the hinge side tension rod causing the tension rod to wiggle loose and then fall. I was able to fix this issue by flipping the bottom gate portion upside down so that the angled part was facing up and the flat part was facing down on the piece that slides onto the pole. This leaves more of a gap at the bottom, but my cats have not attempted to squeeze underneath so far.
I would say I am satisfied with my purchase, but I think there is room for improvement with the design.

It was missing many parts and took 3 weeks to get a refund!
