Curious about how to apply TRESADERM (thiabendazole, dexamethasone, neomycin sulfate solution)? Using TRESADERM for dogs is the same as using TRESADERM for cats: it comes in a dropper bottle, which is designed to make TRESADERM drops simple to apply. Just apply as directed by your veterinarian to aid in the treatment of otitis externa and susceptible skin conditions. Ask your vet if TRESADERM is an option for your pet. It can be used for acute and chronic forms of bacterial, fungal, and inflammatory skin conditions, as well as otitis externa. Just be sure to keep TRESADERM refrigerated when not in use. Limit treatment period to one week.

On rare occasions, dogs may be sensitive to neomycin. For these animals, application of the drug will result in erythema of the treated area, which may last 24 to 48 hours. Also, evidence of transient discomfort has been noted in some dogs when the drug was applied to fissured or denuded areas. The expression of pain may last 2 to 5 minutes. Application of TRESADERM (thiabendazole, dexamethasone, neomycin sulfate solution) should be limited to periods not longer than one week. While systemic side effects are not likely with topically applied corticosteroids, such a possibility should be considered if use of the solution is extensive and prolonged. If signs of salt and water retention or potassium excretion are noticed (increased thirst, weakness, lethargy, oliguria, gastrointestinal disturbances, or tachycardia), treatment should be discontinued and appropriate measures taken to correct the electrolyte and fluid imbalance.

Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this topical solution for its powerful, broad-spectrum protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, chewing lice, and stable flies, with nearly all reporting zero parasites after application. The simple, mess-free topical application is well-tolerated by dogs with no distress or irritation reported. Many appreciate the three-month supply format and convenient reminder stickers. Reviewers consistently cite deep trust and loyalty, having used the product reliably for years across multiple pets. A very small number report occasional ineffectiveness in high-parasite environments or temporary skin sensitivity, though these remain rare outliers. Overall, customers strongly recommend this as a dependable, long-term pest prevention solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FRONTLINE® Shield for Dogs (XS, 5-10 lbs) was very easy to apply topically to my small dog. 3 doses come in a box (3 month supply). It works to fight/shield your dog from adult fleas & their eggs (& larvae), ticks, mosquitoes, chewing lice, & stable flies. One dose lasts one month.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use FRONTLINE Shield for Dogs Does and it works great on our black lab mix. He stayed flea and tick-free all season when we used this. We have a large yard that backs up to the woods, so we were worried about fleas and ticks. But FRONTLINE Shield for Dogs did its job and kept him protected all season long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a very active pup who enjoys the outdoors and chasing chickens. We were able to use this before our vet visit with no issues. Went on well, dog didn’t seem to mind and we did not find any ticks on him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four dogs and they all use Frontline to protect from fleas and ticks. We have deer ticks in the woods behind our house, but I very rarely find any on my dogs (and when I do, they are very recently latched). I have used Frontline for many years and it is very reliable. I will mention that it seems they changed the design of the tube and this was slightly harder to open than previously-- but it was easy enough to cut open with scissors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to my dogs I always think of them as an extension of our family and treat them as so. With that being said when it comes to flea and tick prevention I make sure that they are covered and that they are not going to be having unnecessary chemicals put on them. Front line is a brand that I have used for many years because I trust them. Their products are easy to use and to apply to my dogs so that way they don’t get stressed or nervous and I can feel comforted knowing that they are taken care of and protected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By having neighbors that do not have their yards cut regularly, it brings many different critters and bugs into my yard. I have a Lab mix and he starting scratching more than usual so I tried Frontline on him. Within hours, it seemed he was already scratching less and as the days went on, less and less scratching was evident.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my mom's, sweet Chihuahua, and I wanted her to use it for a couple of months before I gave my review, just to see long term results. So far, this has worked great!! Her baby is an indoor dog, but she frequently goes outside and on walks, so she does get fleas here and there. We haven't seen any on her since started this project, and I would check daily with a flea comb! Oh and this also repels mosquitoes!!! Much needed where we live right now!! Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend this product to other dog parents!

Questions

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Does tresaderm treat ear infections as well?my vet prescribed it for that and said that it wasn't ear mites that was the cause??

  1. Yes, tresaderm treats ear infection

Will Tresaderm relieve the intense itching in and on my cat's ears? Vet says ears clean but recovering from yeast infection in ears. Still scratching ear areas until bleeding.

  1. I had a Maine Coon rescue who was already 7 when he came to live with me and he'd been living out doors probably since he was 6 months to a year. Henry came to me with an awful fungal infection in both ears. After two ear flushes under anesthetic, it became clear it was a chronic infection for which I treated him in the morning with a medicated ear flush from the Vet, followed a half hour later by cleaning his ears with cotton swabs and then applying an antibiotic/antifungal cream, just a drop each ear. I did this for the next six years until he was diagnosed with and died from Pancreatitis. The ears should be clean before putting the medication in. If you're not sure on the ear cleaning, please have your Vet show you what to do. Henry was 25 lbs, I had a blanket I'd wrap him in to do the ear flush, the remainder went all over my glasses after massaging his ears and letting go. You get used to doing something gross when it's someone you love. I had this down to a science with him, it really only took a total of ten minutes. When you use the cotton swabs, scoop up, never down and only go as far as you can actually see. After the ear flush was done, he'd actually let me put the mediated drops in without having to wrap him up, he just got used to it and he'd wait for me to administer them. I hope it works out for you and your cat. If I can do this, so can you.

Is tresaderm still effective if left out of refrigerator for a while?

  1. It will lose it potency after a week unrefrigerated. would be nice if the pet stores made this clear

I have some but i forgot how many drops in the ear.

  1. mine says 5 drops every 12 hours for 7 days  keep in refrigerated - the leave out to warm for 1 hour     shake well before using
