After weaning, use the feeding guidelines noted on the packaging as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to reach desired weight. If transitioning from another food, add a little Clusters to your puppy's current food each day over the course of 5-7 days while decreasing the amount of current food. Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this dog food for exceptional puppy appeal and palatability, with most reporting their dogs eagerly consume it—even notoriously picky eaters. The smaller bite size is frequently cited as ideal for puppies and training. Reviewers express strong confidence in the human-grade, wholesome ingredients, noting the pleasant smell reinforces perceived quality. Many feel reassured about their puppy's nutrition. A few customers report their dogs refused the food, though these isolated cases are vastly outweighed by enthusiastic positive feedback. Overall, most consider it an excellent choice for puppies.

Best thing since sliced bread

Our dogs absolutely love The Honest Kitchen! The chicken grain-free clusters are a daily staple, and our puppy thrives on the whole grain puppy formula — all clean, real ingredients you can pronounce. Prep couldn't be easier: just add warm water. The pumpkin pour-overs make every meal an event, and the goat milk treats are perfect for training. Easy, great value for the quality, and our pups' happy tails say it all. We're hooked!

I am waiting for my 2nd bag to arrive on the 12th. Since the puppy is only about 4-1/2 months old, it is hard to say foe sure how it will work out in the long run.

I have used Honest Kitchen products for years. As a breeder, the puppy food is perfect for my new puppies. I send them home with a sample of this food and let them know that this food will help save on vet bills.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that it is low temp cooked and has whole food ingredients. I was hoping for legume free, but this met most of my asks and our pup likes it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dog absolutely loves the food! Poop does not smell as foul as before. Given that they are oven baked, some morsels do become powdery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new puppy is doing amazing on the puppy whole food clusters! She is a messy eater but the size of the clusters are perfect for her! She loves them so much that she begs for more after every meal and we love that they support brain and muscle development!

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

How many cups in a four pound bag would be nice if you made another size in between the four pound and the larger one?Since it's so expensive

  1. 4# bag should be about 16 cups.

how long can it sit out without causing problems

  1. I would feed this food and any other within the company’s freshness expiration date. NEVER feed old rancid food to any animal. As with humans, you can cause GI problems. With dogs and horses rancid food can be a contributor to bloat/colic.  If you don’t know the expiry date, pick up your phone and call the company with the lot number of the food.  If you suspect the food is bad, use common sense and throw it out just like you would for yourself.

How many cups come in 20 lb bag?

  1. Hello! Thanks for reaching out. There are about 84 cups in each 20-pound bag of clusters. I hope this helps!
