Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this alfalfa pellet product for delivering dramatic improvements in horse health, weight gain, coat condition, and energy levels. Senior horses and hard keepers show particularly striking results, with many regaining strength and vitality. Reviewers consistently highlight superior quality—pellets are green, fresh-smelling, dust-free, and remarkably uniform across bags. The small size makes them easy to soak for older horses or those with dental issues, and most animals find them highly palatable. Many customers state they will never use another brand, citing unmatched reliability and purity. Overall, reviewers consider this the best forage option available.

Great for safe weight gain

We’ve been using Standlee Alfalfa Pellets for a recently rescued kill pen horse who came in very underweight, and they’ve been a great part of his rehab diet. He eats them readily, they’re consistent in quality, and they soak easily into a soft mash, which has been helpful for safe weight gain and easy digestion. Combined with good hay and a gradual feeding plan, we’ve seen steady improvement in his body condition and energy. They’re versatile, easy to work with, and have been especially useful for getting extra calories into a horse that needed a gentle restart on nutrition.

After 4 weeks of Standlee Alfalfa Pellet supplementation to my horses' diet they are looking, feeling, and behaving so much better! My older mares don't have specific problems but are very hard keepers. I'm on a budget. These alfalfa pellets are a game changer. They are consistently fresh and uniform, and smell so good! My horses come running when they hear me at the feed bin. Body condition scores and toplines have improved and their coats are glossy and rich again. Fully recommend Standlee feed!

Good for weight gain

While my horse is on feed as well, I know his recent weight gain has mainly been from the alfalfa pellets. With both complete feed and the pellets he has always been shiny regardless of his forage or environment and he does not drop weight in the winter if he is on alfalfa pellets as well. He has eaten them both soaked and dry with no issues.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

I read that alfalfa pellets are good for your garden. Would these be the type of pellets that would work? Please let me know. Thank you.

How does it keep the pellets together? Is it straight alfalfa or is there something to keep the pellets from falling apart? Is there a binder?

    1. I don't really know what you are asking, but it is processed just like pelleted horse feed. I soak mine, because I have older horses, and they LOVE IT!!
