Description

Springtails (Folsomia candida) are tiny arthropods (1-4 mm) and are used as "Tank Janitors" in a terrarium, eating mold and waste.

- They also make a great supplemental food for your poison dart frogs
- When you add springtails to your tanks they will reproduce
- Simply dump the entire springtail culture in your terrarium and mix the charcoal in the springtail culture right into your substrate
- One culture can benefit 2-4 terrariums. Cultures are started 3-4 weeks before shipping

DIRECTIONS

Adult springtails tend to die in shipping, so please give your culture a couple weeks for eggs to hatch and grow! Be sure to allow adequate airflow once your culture is received to realease the buildup of CO2 .

WARNINGS

Supplement food as starving isopods may attempt to eat the carapace of freshly molted invertebrates or even gnaw on delicate reptiles/amphibians.

Bought five from the Montebello store and it was just all dirt and five spring tails. $50 down the drain I’m extre Disappointed

Just bought a container of springtails, today August 10. The pack date says July 22. I paid $10. There was nothing but dirt in the container.

I bought 2 container of springtails and there was absolutely NO sign of living or dead.

Everyone of them dead and saw the package was packed over 6 months ago. You have to look inside the paper packaging under the cup to find the date it was not visible when buying. They were all long dead and gone!
