Whistle is cheap in quality. Does not make noise unless you blow into the whistle with everything you have. Even then it is not much sound. Was hoping for a better product because I needed this for a dog that is hard of hearing. We live on several acres of ground allowing the dog to roam free and wanted this to get his attention. Very disappointed.

Living on a farm my Lab has a very large area to run. She's getting older and I'm not sure her hearing is as good as it used to be. When I called her to come in she didn't respond like she used to. I bought this whistle to see if she could hear it instead of my voice and it works like a charm. When I blow the whistle and can see her in the fields her head instantly snaps and she comes running. No more walking into the fields for this senior citizen!!

I bought this as I had lost our old dog whistle. Out puppy responds to it but not as well as our old one. may need to retrain with this whistle

I bought this product through Amazon and sent the first one back. Now, the second one is just as bad. I could use some help. My dog is getting deaf and I thought by buying a mega whistle, she would be able to hear it. I'm really disappointed because it will be no use in the marsh these days.

Unfortunately, none of our whistles are intended for use on deaf dogs. We would recommend looking at an e-collar for communication with a deaf or hearing impaired dog. If you are not comfortable with static correction many of our products utilize vibration that would allow you to communicate with your dog. We would recommend the SD-425CAMO or similar model for your dog. This item is a great price point, 500 yard range and offers vibration.

built very strong ... points noise away from your ears (thanks goodness - i have hearing loss as it is!) ... gets EVERYONE's attention!
