I am impressed with this filter. It's down right my favorite of all time. Consider this a sponge filter with a power head attached. You can adjust its flow to your aquarium's needs. The spray nozzle allows you spread out the flow and act as a rain attachment to aerate your water/ increase O2 in your system. Before buying this, I was stuck and couldn't get my nitrites down to zero to cycle the aquarium. I plugged this in with the spray nozzle just above the surface and not only did it mix the water, it aerated it too. Within a couple hours both my Nitrates and Nitrites were at ZERO!!!! Perks include you can buy an expander to increase filtering capacity. The magnetic mount allows the easiest install, versatility. The only downside, this is a sponge filter/power head combo. It's not an all-in-one like a HOB, even on the lowest setting, it's probably not for any fish that don't like a current. You are better off with the Sicce Micron Nano for a smaller aquarium or slow fish/organism.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Spraybar available

Mine came with a spray bar and regular diffuser in the box. Spray bar clogged up pretty fast.

Great question! The Shark Pro Nano 320 is ideal for aquariums up to 20 US Gallons. I would recommend checking out our Shark Pro 700 Internal Filter (:

The Shark Pro Nano 250 is suitable for aquariums up to 13.2 US Gallons, and the Shark Pro Nano 320 is ideal for aquariums up to 20 US Gallons. We would suggest using a large filter for your 55-gallon aquarium (:
