New go-to HOB
I have been using one of the other major filter brands for over a year and wanted to test something different. I noticed the Sicce in Petco and was familiar with the reputation of the brand so I decided to try it out. The initial set up was very straight forward and it even comes with a prefilter sponge to stop fry and other small critters from getting into the filter. My three favorite features in no particular order: first it is dead quiet, even quieter than my sponge filter. Second, the self priming is next level, i never have to scoop water into the filter again. Lastly, the fact that the entire chamber comes put, filter tube and all, makes cleaning the filter so easy.
This will be my new go-to hang-on-back filter moving forward
Yes, I recommend this product.

A very good filter
I am very happy with this filter. I have bought two and am about to buy a third. These are for rimless 10 gallon aquascaped tanks. Two HUGE pluses: 1 - the flow is adjustable & 2 - the motor is part of the internal design, so no need to prime with water, and if power fails, will restart immediately once power is restored. I gave 4 stars because I am not happy with the filtration materials. There should never be a market for plastics and subpar filtration materials needing to be replaced every three months (recommended). I did a DIY and tossed out what was provided, never to be used.
Yes, I recommend this product.

DO NOT PURCHASE
If i could give 0 stars I would, this product i thought was great turned out to be anightmare for my tank. the instructions are unclear because they are all in pictures. there was a portion of the instructions that informed me to take off a plastic cap at the bottom of the filter, that was my biggest mistake. My poor betta fish got sucked into that part and passed away. Please do not buy this filter for smaller aquariums, especially if you have small fish.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Aqua filtra 20/ 10
The intake pipe is to long on the aqua filtra 20 for a 20 long aquarium but you can get it for the 20 tall or 29gal. Taking mine back to get the aqua filtra 10 for my 20 long. Besides that its an amazing filter with the pump in the water. Which is the best feature. You dont have to worry about the filter not restarting after service or power outage. Sicce makes reliable stuff. Can't beat the warranty!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for the feedback! It's wonderful to know you're pleased with the Aqua Filtra's performance, especially the in-water pump feature, which is crucial during power outages. We appreciate your comments on the intake pipe sizing for the 20 long tank and are glad you resolved it with the Aqua Filtra 10. Your insights are valuable for other aquarists. Thanks again!
