Priduct is amazing love the simplicity of the design.

I have had this now for a week. I am impressed with this power filter. There are two versions of this unit. Pay attention to the SKU. The old version had some issues and didn't have the carbon/zeolite cartridge. I use it in a small temp .75 gallon tank on lowest setting for my Betta fish while I cycle its new 5 gallon tank.. It does an amazing job at keeping my nano tank clean even on the lowest setting. There is no debris or waste in the tank at all. It definitely beats a classic sponge filter+air pump combo. The Micron nano definitely pulls in water while it is operating. If your fish doesn't like the current, like a betta, use an ornament or some plants to buffer to flow. Easy hack, this filter comes with an extra sponge filter. Use a rubber band to baffle the intake or output with this extra filter. I love this filter because you can use it in your aquarium, or terrarium. Some people don't like the suction cups, but I have had no issues with it. One great thing about the included cartridge filter, you can buy different cartridges with different media. If you are really savvy or want to save some money, you can actually refill the cartridges yourself. The cartridges can be popped open and make your own filter combo with your own favorite carbon, zeolite, bio media, of your choice. Also you can add a second sponge filter or filter floss, if you don't mind buying your favorite (mine is Fluval AC 30 sponge replacement) and cutting it to size yourself (a utility razor works best). Probably one of the best filters in the 1 - 5 gallon category. If you are running something 5 gal and up, look into the Shark Pro Nano. It's only a couple bucks more and has all kinds of capabilities including a spray bar, expandable filters and venti air system. Pro Tip: fully submerge the unit in water or else it will make some scary sounds.

I am not super picky about filters. I own pretty much every brand and kind you can think of. Out of the hundreds I have owned, this one is by far the worst. I had high hopes! It's super cute and looked nice in the tank. However, it didn't work. The water doesn't even go through the filter. Its drawn in at the top through the water control switch. All of my duck weed was getting drawn in and clogged up. It is simply a bad design. There is no way to make it work. I tried everything, as I really wanted to keep it because I liked how it looked. However, it was a hopeless task. Thankfully, petco has a good return policy.
