Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this collar for its innovative built-in leash design, which provides immediate control without carrying a separate leash. The elastic, handle-like leash allows quick restraint during emergencies like bolting toward traffic or strangers, while the thick padded construction keeps dogs comfortable during extended wear. Reviewers highlight the waterproof nylon, sturdy D-ring, and adjustable fit for medium to large breeds. Many love the 2-in-1 functionality, noting it eliminates fumbling for separate leashes and reduces physical strain. A few mention concerns about weight for hot weather or small dogs, but most find it a game-changer for walks and training.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this collar. We have a German Shepherd mix so it works perfectly for walks and training. He is a mix so he’s a little smaller than normal, so we had to add a hole but still works perfectly. I also love the design and color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar is awesome for my well trained Golden Retriever. I rarely use a leash, so with this collar I can grab him to walk through high traffic areas or if he sees a squirrel. I used to carry a leash with me, just incase. Not anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't an item I'd use while out and about, since my dog isn't the off leash type, but it gives an extra level of support for us while at home. One of the things that surprised me the most about it, is how much it assisted with my ability to groom. It was like having an extra set of hands. When you have a dog that's nearly as big as you are, that makes a world of difference!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with the Sherpa collar I recently purchased for my sweet girl Ellie, a walker coonhound. Though she's smart and obedient while on a leash, her ability to smell a rabbit a mile away gets the best of her sometimes! Thats where the built in leash comes in very handy! I am able to control and calm her down without her choking herself and dragging me. around. It gives me control of her whole body with complete comfort to her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sure like this Sherpa Dog Collar with Built in Leash. If you're like me you always have a handful of things in your hands while trying to control your dog. My little stinker THOUGHT she was going to take advantage of my full hands while I was transferring some things to the other hand and she took off on me, but I had this Sherpa Dog Collar on her and was able to grab the collar/leash without choking her to stop her from running away. The padded inside of the collar keeps everything comfortable when you grab the collar quickly. Durable quality, that I will definitely be buying more of these collars for rescue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing product for my pup. The quick access and convenience is perfect off-leash activities. Used this leash for the first time the other day, and love the idea behind this product. If you walk your dog off leash, you will love this product. No more having to worry about trying to leash your dog quickly when other people/animals pass. Nonetheless, I always wanted a leash handy and this did the job perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a is a great collar and fits my golden retriever perfectly. It’s perfect when you need your dog to stay closer to you. Thanks to the soft padding the collar seems very comfortable on my dog’s neck and the handle is easy to hold and feels good on my hands. We go hiking a lot where my dog is off leash and it’s easy to grab her if I need to with the built in leash. Definitely recommend

how long does the leash/handle extend out, what is it's length? Would I have to be leaning forward to use it or does it extend enough for me to be able to stand and walk comfortably upright?
