Description

Stability will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: new tank syndrome. Stability is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Stability are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Stability is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management. The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc.

  • - Controls ammonia, nitrites and nitrates
  • - Removes soluble & insoluble impurities from water
  • - Prevents "New Tank Syndrome"
  • - No refrigeration is needed

Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 40 L (10 gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium.

Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this bacterial additive for rapidly establishing healthy aquarium ecosystems. Most report ammonia and nitrite levels dropping to zero within one to three weeks, with many achieving full cycling in seven to twelve days even with fish present. Reviewers credit it with maintaining long-term water clarity and stable nitrogen levels during water changes and filter cleanings. Many describe it as the most reliable bacterial supplement available, expressing strong brand loyalty and stating they'll never switch products. A few report slower results or persistent nitrite spikes, but these represent isolated cases. Overall, customers consider it an essential, dependable staple for both beginners and experienced aquarists.

Didn't Work on 2 Aquariums

I trusted Seachem products so thought it would work to help my tank cycle. It did nothing. I still had some leftover and it's not expired so I tried it on a fishless tank I was cycling and it still did nothing. Seachem Prime is amazing so I'm not sure why Stability would be so faulty but it is, unless I got a bad bottle for some reason.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have used different brands, but none as good as Seachem products. My aquarium water stays clean, clear and healthy thanks to three Seachem products. I use Seachem Prime, Seachem Stability and Seachem Pristine. Using them together has really worked for my aquariums.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 10 of 13 Questions

Pristine and stability are completely different products. Not an updated version. Right?

  1. Correct. Pristine is for water quality and stability is for the good bacteria.

If I use this product in my tank do I still need to use a conditioner?

  1. Yes! I use it along with Prime. Work perfect together.

Does this lower the alkalinity of water? On the test strip the alkalinity is too high and the hardness is very low. Would this fix it, or how would you fix this.

What is the difference between Seachem Clarity and Pristine? Should or can they be used together or is it a duplication?

    1. I believe someone already mentioned that Pristine is the new version of Stability.

Is Stability safe for bettas? Is this product similar to Quick Start Or Stress Zyme?

    1. Yes should be fine i actually have a beta in my community tank and use stability after every water change to replace the good bacteria. And i used it along with prime when i cycled my tank. I have heard of people who used quick start then used stability when doing water changes to cycle. I no trouble with prime and stability. I have a 36 gallon and a 55 gallon tank and those are the only products i use in my aquariums. Hope this helps.

Can i use this product with any Water Conditoner

    1. Yes.

If after 7 days and I decide to add a fish, do I continue with adding stability or stop?

    1. You will add stability for as long as you have the tank going. Just add 1 cap full for each 20 gallons once a month, or when you change the water.(I add mine with the water change.) there is a few other times you can add this listed on the bottle but I would just stick to how it says to start the tank then after that add it with every water change. Good tip if your tank is less than 20 get an infant syringe for medicine from any pharmacy to easily figure out the correct dosage, the cap is 5ml most infant syringes are either 3 or 6 ml

Hi, will I be able to use my LED light for my lives plants in the tank prior 15 mins after I used this and is it safe to use this after i used Kordon AmQuel ammonia remover ?

    1. LED light absolutely fine. I dont see why the ammonia remover would be an issue either. I've used multiple chemicials together numerous times

Is this safe for Aquatic turtles? can it be used while turtle is in the tank or when the water is already cloudy?

    1. It's a very safe product. I used it when the fish, shrimps and snails are in the tanks.

Stability Water Conditioner and Prime do i need both, why, detail pls? have 55 gl community tank 10 small-med fish incls 4 btm feeders, chg mthly 20-30 gls and a Beta change weekly most of 1gl water it stinks.I use Stress Coat no probs. other seams healthier

    1. Prime detoxifies ammonia and chlorine from your tap water, ideally you add that into the fresh water before you refill your tank during a water change. Stability adds in some more bacteria in case you lose any depending on how you preform a water change. Both can be used together unlike other bacterial supplements (safe start, etc.) because prime will kill those.
