Description

Support your adult cat's bladder and urinary tract health with Royal Canin(R) Feline Urinary SO Loaf in Sauce Wet Cat Food. This veterinary-exclusive cat food wet formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. By helping to increase the amount of cat urine your feline produces, this cat wet food diet helps with the dilution of excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is used to help lower ion concentration in your cat's urine, which contributes to stone formation. Mix with your cat's complementary Royal Canin Urinary SO Dry Cat Food to give them a texture that pleases even the finickiest eater. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some cats. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your cat on this Royal Canin urinary cat food for long-term urinary support. Promote your cat's wellness with each serving of Royal Canin Urinary SO cat food formula.

Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this urinary health formula for resolving and preventing serious conditions like crystals, blockages, and infections, with many reporting their cats remain issue-free for years after switching. Most note their cats eagerly consume it daily, even picky eaters, with owners describing strong palatability and full acceptance. Vet-recommended and trusted as a medical intervention, reviewers frequently cite it as life-saving. However, some customers report frustration over recent formula and packaging changes, noting their cats now refuse the new version, experience vomiting, or show digestive distress. A few mention their cats won't eat it regardless, though these cases are far outnumbered by positive experiences. Overall, most consider it an essential, effective solution despite concerns about recent modifications.

Vet Prescription delays delivery.

Good product and price. However, having to download vet prescription every time is time consuming and delays delivery. Even when you have a prescription which is good for a year on file.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have fed one of my cats Royal Canin Urinary SO for years, and it has kept her from having trouble with urinary crystals. I do wish they would make the SO Morsels in Gravy in the 5.1oz cans.

Yes, I recommend this product.

The reason for this score is that there isn't one reason why this food should be marketed as a prescription only food and the higher cost per can. There isn't any medications in this food; however, it is better than most other cat food. I have purchased the larger pate version and it is so thick that it nearly chokes my cat so I have to add water to make it more palatable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Horrible. We are enrolled in the monthly Vetco subscription and every time we order the perscription diet food, Petco says they cannot get the perscription. The vet is from Petco.

Questions

1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Does this come in more than the one flavor

  1. I think it just comes in different textures, like pate and a chunky gravy, and the dry kibble. That said, I've fed a cat this for a couple years now and he still really excited when I put it out and he hasn't had to go the vet for crystals in his bladder.

K cal in feline urinary so in 3 oz can

My veterinarian wants my cat to have this brand but my cat doesn't like anything but fish. Do you have a fish flavor that I missed? Can you direct me?

    1. I don’t recall seeing fish as an option. I’ve called Royal Canin before and they are very helpful. Try that. As it’s a prescription your vet may know also.

    What is the ash content?

    1. Update - My cat has also been showing signs That the crystals Are starting to hurt him & urinating issues again? I just got off the phone with Royal Canin and they said they did not announce it but they did change the product. Quoting what I was told; The ash content is the same2.3%. They increased the protein from 6% to 10.5% (with pork liver) which decreased the moisture only by 1%, It was 82% and now 81%. I was also told by the customer service representative that no one is calling into Royal Canin and this is the first they heard About problems with their product. Anyone who is experiencing issues With this product needs to call Royal Canin at 1 800-592-6687. They asked me. Or the product information on the bottom of the can, so if you have one available Please don't hesitate to give it to them. Thanks and good luck to you all.

The last 3 or 4 cases of the gel (or pate) Urinary SO I've purchased has had a layer of fat on the top inside the can & it didn't used to. Since my cat has put on weight without feeding her more I'm wondering if you changed your formula?
