Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this food for transforming digestive health in cats with chronic conditions like megacolon and severe constipation. Most report normal bowel movements within days or weeks, with many stopping laxatives and medications entirely. Reviewers describe cats as more energetic and playful, with improved appetite and healthy weight. Many use the product for 8+ years with consistent results. A small group reports recent formula changes caused diarrhea, vomiting, and allergic reactions, requesting transparency and a return to the original formula. Overall, customers consider it life-changing despite concerns over consistency.

Life Saver!

Absolute Lifesaver for Constipation! Our cat was having terrible issues with constipation and uncomfortable digestive struggles, and nothing seemed to offer reliable relief until we switched to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fiber Response. We started feeding this kibble alongside wet food to ensure good hydration, and the difference was night and day within just a few days. Her digestion smoothed out completely, and she is back to being regular, comfortable, and energetic without any strain. She actually loves the taste, too, which makes mealtime completely hassle-free. If your cat is struggling with constipation or GI issues, combining this food with wet food works absolute wonders. Worth every single penny for the peace of mind!

Be cautious if you are buying a new bag of dry foo

My cat has been fine with this product for the past year until whatever changes were made to the product (e.g. formulation). He rarely vomited in the past and has now vomited 3 times after eating the dry food in the last 2 days.

Changed recipe now my cat is sick

I have been a loyal customer for years, specifically because your product was one of the only foods my 17 year old cat could tolerate well. Unfortunately, since introducing the new recipe, my cat has become noticeably ill. This is not a minor issue—at her age, any digestive upset or decline in health is alarming, stressful, and potentially dangerous. I am incredibly upset that a change was made without clearer warnings to customers who rely on consistency for pets with sensitive systems. I trusted your brand to prioritize animal health and quality, and right now that trust feels seriously shaken. Watching my cat suffer after eating a food that was once safe for her has been heartbreaking. I would appreciate a clear explanation of what was changed in the recipe, why the change was made, and what steps your company is taking to address the impact on pets who are not tolerating the new formula. I also expect guidance on refunds or alternatives, as I can no longer safely feed this product to my cat. I will be spreading the word to everyone I know. I hope you take this feedback seriously. This situation has caused real distress, and I am deeply disappointed that a brand I relied on has put my pet’s health at risk.

Product change nightmare

My cat has been eating this food for more than 8 years for his chronic GI/diarrhea issues. It was working great until they changed the formula. Now he has consistently loose stools and doesn’t want to eat his food, causing weight loss, unnecessary vet visits, etc. Royal Canin really messed this one up.
