My vet recommended this food after doing lots and lots of research. My cat loves this food, but she loves soft food that has a very strong odor, which this does. I wish people wouldn't put reviews on websites like this if they are not a veterinarian. There is a reason why this food is lower in protein and other ingredients that you normally would see in regular soft cat food. This food is designed for cats with RENAL DISEASE, not healthy cats. Please speak to your veterinarian regarding the quality of the food for a cat with CKD versus believing claims from people who are not veterinarians

My cat was prescribed this food after he was diagnosed with kidney and bladder issues. The transition to this brand and flavor was without issue—my cat loved it, it was very easy for my senior to eat, and there was no GI side effect. He looks forward to this food twice a day and his kidney and bladder issues were resolved after one month. We will continue to give this wet food to my cat and hope to continue to see him in such good health and comfort.

Had gotten a few cans from my Vet when my cat was diagnosed. However they don’t keep much in stock. Petco contacted my Vet to verify his prescription and I received the product before I ran out.

Male kitty in early renal failure. Even cut to around 25% of his normal portion, he did not take to this food. Grudgingly, he’ll eat a little. We’re still trying and hopeful.

My cat was really not doing well and was diagnosed with kidney problems - started him on fluids and Royal Canin renal support early consult and saw such a remarkable difference in just 2 days. Here’s hoping it will last as he is 16 years old.
