My dog loves these . The first chew I only let him enjoy half , gave him the second half the next day . It is well tolerated ( no GI upset ) .

Besides brushing my 6 & 12 year old labs’ teeth 2-3 times a week, I give them each an OraChews treat once a week, supervised. It doesn’t take them that long before it is gone. Neither one of them have required professional teeth cleaning by my veterninarian.

I have tried several other brands of Dental chews and my pets can be finicky. If I offer this one and the other one they choose this one.

So I decided to try Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Orachews Large Dental Chews for Dogs. While I liked that the bag had tear tabs and they were very easy to use, they did not open the bag at all as I had hoped and I had to use scissors in order to open the bag. I did like that the bag was resealable and easy to open and close. While the front of the bag does not mention the flavor of these chews they actually have a tasty chicken flavor even though they do not smell at all like chicken which I was disappointed about. However, that’s probably because chicken is not the number one ingredient. In fact, I did look at the ingredients of these chews and I was a little disappointed that chicken by-product meal is the sixth ingredient while rice and glycerin were the first and second ingredients respectively. While these are a nice size for a large dental chew (about 4” x ¾”) there are only seven in the package. So the package will only last seven days if you have a dog over forty pounds (at least the package I received did). I gave one of these chews to my dog and she seemed to like it and chewed it rather quickly (about less than five minutes), especially since these chews are a non-rawhide treat to help keep my dog engaged and chewing which it did for that entire time. I did like that they were made of non-rawhide materials though. I also liked that there are two different size chews (s/m and lrg) for any sized dog to enjoy. I like that these help clean the dogs teeth, freshen breath, and help control tartar buildup to help support the overall dental health of dogs. I like that these chews help support the dogs immune system with vitamins A, E, and zinc and that they are also low in calories and fat. Overall, I do like the health benefits of these Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Orachews Large Dental Chews for Dogs and that my dog liked them so that I may try them out again in the future. #sponsored, #paid, #ad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loves the Orachewa Large dental chews! I was so surprised they came in sizes dependent on dogs weight and so glad they did. We use it as a “treat” for her and I’m almost positive she sees it the same. It last my girl about 3 minutes or so and they appear to working well with combating plaque on the teeth with the grooves they have on the chews. She loves it, I love it. It’s a win win.
