Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly report dramatic seizure reduction, with many dogs becoming seizure-free or experiencing drastically fewer episodes after dietary changes. Reviewers describe profound quality-of-life improvements including increased energy, alertness, and restored behavior, often enabling medication reduction under veterinary guidance. Dogs previously facing euthanasia regain normalcy and companionship. Veterinarians frequently recommend this approach for seizure management. A small number report the food did not help their dogs, and a few mention taste preferences or cost concerns, though most affirm the health benefits justify the investment.

Seems to help manage his seizures and he likes it!

Steelman DVM

My dog developed epileptic seizures about 4 years ago. He was immediately started on the anti-seizure medication zonisamide and the Neurocare diet. He has only had 3 seizures in the past 4 years. I'm not sure if it is the medication or the diet. It is likely a combination of both, but he's doing so well that I'm not going to experiment to find out. He likes this food and does great on it and will be on it for life!

Easy transition and very palatable

I am a veterinarian who has an older dog with cognitive dysfunction. He masks well in our home environment, but it became very apparent when we took him with us on vacation. I have recommended Purina Neurocare to my clients for years, so I immediately ordered some to have available when we came home. My dog instantly loved the food and had no problems with the transition from his old diet. He can be finicky and sensitive to food changes, but this was easy. While it is still too early to expect results from a cognitive standpoint, he does seem to have more energy. I will be keeping him on it!

This formulation really makes a difference in my 16 yr old dog’s cognitive function. She is brighter and much more engaged. As a trial, I stopped feeding it for 2 months and restarted huge difference. I recommend it to my clients.

My dog’s seizures went from every other week to maybe once a year - the only difference was adding neurocare to her epilepsy plan when neurocare was first developed & released 6 years ago. I haven’t had to adjust seizure meds since. I didn’t think she would still be with us - thanks Purina!

My dog loves this food. He eats it right up. I also think it is helping his seizure symptoms. He has been on this food for about a year now and it has been doing great. His coat is very shiny, and he gets 2 cups a day.
