Description
Prednisone reduces inflammation and is also used to suppress the actions of the immune system. It is used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as lupus or pemphigus, autoimmune hemolytic anemias, asthma and inhalant allergies (atopy), cancers, brain swelling, certain types of colitis, certain kidney diseases, and Addison's disease. Please note: This is a generic medication. Product packaging and appearance, including size, color, and shape, may differ from the description or images provided and are subject to manufacturer availability.
- - The following drugs* may have potential interactions with this medication: aspirin, antidiabetic agents (including insulins), azole antifungals
- - Many side effects of corticosteroids are linked to high doses or prolonged usage; however, side effects may still occur during short-term therapy

Prednisone Tablets should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Do not discontinue this medication abruptly, especially if your pet has been taking it for two or more weeks. Please consult your veterinarian before making any changes or discontinuing the prescribed dosing schedule. Ensure your pet always has access to fresh, clean drinking water while taking this medication. This medication is preferably given with food, as this may help prevent gastrointestinal side effects. If your pet vomits or appears unwell after receiving a dose on an empty stomach, give future doses with food or a small treat. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian.

can i use this for my 3lb yorkie and my 8 lb Morkie?
- My dog was having severe anxiety and panic attacks. This medication has worked very well for her. Â The results have been amazing. She is back to normal since she has been taking it. Â I think that the dosage is based on the weight of the dog, so you would need to contact your veterinarian to request a prescription for the appropriate dosage.Â
