Prednisone reduces inflammation and is also used to suppress the actions of the immune system. It is used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as lupus or pemphigus, autoimmune hemolytic anemias, asthma and inhalant allergies (atopy), cancers, brain swelling, certain types of colitis, certain kidney diseases, and Addison's disease. I need to find out if the 2.5mg tabs of prednisone (SKU 2976154) are scored...so they can be broken in 1/2.
- They are typically scored, but even with scoring the easiest way to cut them is with a pill cutter from a pharmacy.
