- The box always cleans after the cat uses it. I have never timed it, but it seems to be between 5 and 10 minutes. Need time for the deposit to dry a bit before the rake goes over it.

Why did the light go out? Can I fix it?

Why can't I just buy the blue crystal litter that comes in plastic bags and use it in a regular litter box? If the litter takes the moisture out of the feces, and the cat buries it, isn't it likely the same thing?

I have 2 concerns with this product: 1: can this specific product be used with the add on lid ? 2: I have a very active Great Dane puppy with a bad habit of licking the crystals from the box ( hence , the lid question); IS THE LITTER TOXIC ?
Can you use pellets in this?
I am using a fairly new clumping cat litter that I love! It's called Streyant cat litter, it's amazing, very clean dust free, quick clumping and natural. The raw materials are pea fiber, corn starch, bamboo charcoal, essence and guar gum. Can I use ?
I read there is a non-disposable tray that you can use. I don't see it on this site but I've seen it on other sites. Does it fit this box? I need the least expensive option. Disposables don't sound economical or environmentally friendly.
- petsafe makes a reusable tray for around 70 bucks, but amazon sells offbrand ones for about half that. highly recommend getting one.

Does this litter box sell a cover separately? I saw some that says for 2nd generation but this is a classic.
