fits the drinkwell and is easy to replace, just make sure to replace every couple of weeks.

Underperforming Filters
The recommendations for this product specifically say to clean out the fountain and change the filters every two weeks. However I have found that these filters are only good for about a week. Also since these items are only useful for 1-2 weeks, it would be better if they were made from a bioplastic that is compostable rather than the unrecyclable plastic that they are currently made of.

Very satisfied with this fountain
My cat is using this fountain, which is especially useful because the vet has switched her to dry food. The fountain is also easier to take apart and clean than one I tried years ago with another cat. The replacement parts we ordered (filters) arrived pretty quickly. We don’t need the charcoal filters because we have reverse osmosis for our drinking water, but I’m sure they’re useful in many households. And on top of everything, the fountain is nice to look at. I recommend it.

Why was the order canceled?
I bought the fountain, as I was concerned about water quality for my pets. It works great but no spare filters available in store so ordered more online. Everything seemed great, delivery date seemed good and agreed to added shipping. After saying order was on its way then a message that the delivery was delayed? 30 miles according to the messages I received. IE 1 week and now 2 weeks. Then nearing the 2 week mark and outta the blue a message saying the order had been cancelled with zero explanation? Did I buy a $90 piece of junk that is useless without filters? The product met my needs but without more filters it is useless and my cats only option will be drinking high iron water which isn’t healthy for me nor my pets. Very disappointed!
No, I do not recommend this product.

These filters work well in my cats’ fountain.
If one runs water through the filter till it runs clear and then puts it in position in the fountain it works perfectly.

I am very pleased they carry these filters. While the tops and bottoms are reasonably cleanable, you have to be gentle or they can tear. Much happier to have full blown replacements now. Clean water makes for healthier pets.

- Yes, the box of 12 carbon filters work in the Porcelain Pagoda Fountain. I always buy them online in the 12 pack. Way cheaper than the box of 2.

Are these filters the original design (no plastic feet)? Other sites say the design changed in 2019 and the new design does not filter as well.
- I have used these filters for years and they filter perfectly (no plastic feet). I change them once a week because I have 5 cats.

May I know the size of this filter? I wonder if it fits our water fountain which is other brand. Thanks
- At its widest parts, it's about 2" by 2 1/2". but it's significantly curved on one of the wide edges (so it looks like a 3/4 moon), in order to fit the plastic housing exactly. Dunno whether other fountains have the same housing or not, but bear that in mind before you buy! You wouldn't want to cut it to size, as the carbon particles would be all in the water. Good luck!

Why does the description say for CATS when it's supposedly for Petsafe Drinkwell fountains -- which is for dogs, cats or any other pets. Is there something different about these filters that should not be used for dogs??
- I had a dog and used this fountain and the filters and they worked fine. So, can be used for dogs, cats or whatever animal you want to use it for. No difference that I can see.
