Cute, but with lots of issues

Petparent4933

This is a very cute toy! However, it’s very inconvenient and annoying to take care of. First, the toy is difficult to fill with water as the spouts are very stiff and hard to flex open. My biggest recommendation would be to fill this in a bathtub or shower as it can be very messy as well. I ended up need to use a straw to get the spouts open and fill it with water since I didn’t have a funnel small enough to fit the spouts. After the toy mat is full of water, it was fine. The fishes didn’t quite float and move like I would’ve hoped to entice my cat. The fish largely clumped together a lot in the water. Additionally, like with any water based toy, the water started to grow mold (and similar floating things) in the toy after about a week. Unless my cat was absolutely obsessed with this toy mat, I wouldn’t want to deal with the hassle of draining and filling the mat every week or so.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is a very cool product, every cat's dream and a fun activity. It makes me want to get a kitten to fully experience this awesome toy. Even though my cats are a little older, they were still checking this out.

Cats nah, supervised toddlers? Maybe?

This product didn’t come with very good instructions. Or really any instructions. I felt very tested trying to figure out how to make it work best. When I figured out the best air to water ratio, then it looked nice. However the cat wanted nothing to do with it and I’m a bit worried that if she did, she would pop it. However, my 2 year old loves playing with this a couple minutes every day supervised of course.. so I gave it an extra star for that lol.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Gone Fishing

received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. The quality of this product is really well done! No leaks so far. However, I couldn't test it properly against kitty claws or teeth as my kids, once again, ignored the new toy. This time I think it was more of an unsteady feeling with the water in the way it moves. They did try standing on it for a bit but then left it alone. After playing with it myself a little, I would say it would be better if the fish were maybe made of a different material. They seem to want to stick to the top material and make them difficult to actually move. Other than that, this seems like a really sturdy toy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I recently bought those and I thought it would be a great activity for my cats. when my cat played with it for the first time I was thrilled only to find out it popped and he couldn't play with it again . I like it it's a great idea but I don't think I would pay 15$ for a one time experience

No, I do not recommend this product.

Just got this on a whim and I was also very confused about the valve situation BUT I FIGURED IT OUT!!! obviously you should be trimming your cats claws prior but you have to bite down on the valve and blow, I did pull the other side away too and that made it easier. I suggest having it flat and pouring water in instead of sticking it under the faucet. I introduced it to my cat, Bento, while I was using a sprig of catnip as a wand and gave her treats when she investigated.

Yes, I recommend this product.

NOT FOR CATS- Instantly puncture with claws/ teeth

Kitty

HORRENDOUS PRODUCT. How is this made for cats to play when their claws and teeth puncture it? Had this for barely over 2 weeks. Furious about such a waste of money. Don’t throw your money away like I did.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questioning my intelligence after this purchase

CatSlave

I actually returned to the store thinking I bought an incomplete package, but I did not. Confusing, no directions, there’s 3 valves only 1 is for water but then 2 for air and the 1 water one is same section as 1 other valve but does not say anything about filling with air. Did they just stop halfway in between making this toy? The only fun my cats will have with this - is when they pop it and all the water comes pouring out all over the place… and that’s the only way I see water coming out so then why do they call it “refillable”? This cat-toy makes absolutely no sense…. Unless a dog created it for them

No, I do not recommend this product.

Do people not show their cats new things? I'm only curious after reading a reviewer ask "What would make my cat hit the fish to make it move?"

  1. Hello good day! Some pet parents simply drop new things in the floor and expect the pet to know what how specific things work
