Petco Freshwater Fish Head & Tail Tetra, (Hemigrammus ocellifer)
Description
The Head & Tail Tetra is a hardy and peaceful freshwater species recognized for its soft golden sheen and distinctive dark markings near the head and tail. This active schooling fish thrives in groups of six or more and is well-suited for aquariums of 15-20 gallons or larger with stable, well-filtered water and gentle flow. Adaptable and undemanding, they prefer slightly acidic to neutral water and appreciate planted setups that provide light cover while maintaining open swimming areas. Their calm temperament makes them excellent companions for other small, peaceful community fish.
