Review this Product
Customers say
Customers overwhelmingly praise this puppy formula for supporting healthy growth and weaning, with puppies eagerly consuming it and showing improved weight gain, energy, and coat condition. Most report smooth transitions to solid food and healthy digestion with no distress. Many note veterinarians recommended it for orphaned or underweight puppies. Users appreciate its simplicity, affordability, and reliability, with repeat customers stating they will always use it. A few puppies refused it or experienced digestive issues, though these represent rare exceptions outweighed by consistently positive results.

I just got my puppy and she’s 4-5 weeks old. I got this product but am not sure how to use it or how much water to mix it with. Is it suppose to just be given as a liquid or put over dry food
- Puppies that are up on their feet and lapping from a bowl may be introduced to Esbilac 2nd Step. Begin by offering it as a thin gruel. Determine the amount of Esbilac 2nd Step powder to be fed to the puppy at each feeding using the Feeding Guideline. Reconstitute powder by using 3 parts (a part is any measuring device, i.e. teaspoon, tablespoon or cup) liquid Esbilac or water to 1 part powder for the first few days. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten portion after no more than 20 minutes. Puppies should be fed 3 times per day. Weigh the puppies at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding. As puppies grow decrease the amount of water mixed with powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. Consult your veterinarians for additional advice.

Should I feed my puppy 2nd step and water?
- Thank you for your inquiry. Absolutely introduce water as well. The most optimal window to start introducing water is when the puppy is around 3 to 4 weeks old.
