While this item looked cute inside the fish tank and the fish seemed to enjoy swimming through it within days the water started to get a yellow tinge, presumably from the paint color and within a short period of time after that, the fish died

I found my betta fish stuck and dead in the window of the spongebob house. Weirdly enough, there’s other reviews saying the SAME thing. Now looking at this product more carefully, there’s sharp unsanded edges EVERYWHERE. Petco please do your due diligence and remove this product from your shelves.

Put this in a tank with Beta fish. He spent several months going in and out of the door. One day when we weren't home, he tried to go through the window hole and got stuck. He was unable to get out and passed away. Do not put this in with Beta sized fish!!!

I recived this as a gift on christmas, I put it in my tank and not long after the paint / color started fading, I belive it had toxic chemicals that had come off of it, none of my fish had died though! my adf loved hideing in it, and after he had passed (natural death) i got a betta whom also loved hideing in it. but after that i took it out of my tank because i got a little worried about so yeah. I belive this might work for a terruriam but ive never tested that. it was also hard to clean too.

Excellent addition for the theme of my ten gallon aquarium. The chimney on spongebobs house had perfectly snapped off leaving a small hole where it was located. It doesn’t look bad/isn’t really noticeable at all so it’s really no big deal.
