Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this habitat topper for transforming their turtle tanks with spacious swimming and basking areas. Most highlight the sturdy, durable construction that withstands daily use without warping. Turtles typically adapt quickly, often using the elevated platform within days. Many appreciate how the design supports natural behaviors and provides complete drying space. A few note the ramp feels steep or slippery, and some mention suction cups don't secure on all tank types, though most still recommend it despite these minor issues.

Haven’t received my order yet. I called and they said they didn’t know why the warehouse hasn’t sent it yet. They said they would contact me back but still no word. Very disappointed

Just put it on the tank, waiting to see if my turtle will use it. Had to buy the extender clips (they really should come with the topper if you're going to advertise that it fits upto a 55 gallon tank).

I love the extra room it gives Artist, my red eared slider, room to swim. I had a similar basking platform without the enclosure. The enclosure is giving me a consistent distance between my turtle and the light. Prior exposure to the light varied with the amount of water in my tank. I did add a cover only because my cat likes to jump on my tank and watch the turtle. I'm including a picture of the entrance to show it has more of a doorway entrance. It's unlikely my turtle would be able to climb the tank wall with his size now at a little over a year. It wasn't hard to do it myself cover if there was a concern your turtle would escape. I'd totally recommend

Gives our turtle a lot of room to swim around and explore his tank.

Questions

1 - 10 of 39 Questions

Will this fit on a 20 gallon long tank?

Will this fit on a 75 gallon long tank?

I'm considering getting one of these. Does it have to be mounted on one side of a tank? Or can it go over the middle of a tank?

Will the Zoo Med dual lamp fit on top of the metal grate? If not can I hang that lamp above it or would plastic melt?

        1. Thank you for your question. The Turtle-Topper is designed to be used with any clamp style lamp. There are places built into the lid where lamps can be attached on 2 sides of the metal grate.

Hi I recently bought this for my hatchling red eared sliders and when they try to get back in the water they tend to fall from the side where the ramp is.  Is this usual? Think they may be afraid to go up there now.

        1. The ramp is slippery so you may need to add something for them to hold onto as they go up this should help.

Will this fit a 10gallon and 15gallon tank?

        1. as long as it's only 13 inches wide.

i recently added this to my tank however the ramp doesnt touch the water and if i add more water then my filter will be over the max line. do you make anything to extend the ramp longer?

        1. I just installed it today, and yes ramp is not long enough. I am brainstorming a way to add length to the ramp, as well as give it some texture since my turtle dive-bombed off of it and crashed into the bottom of my tank. I was thinking of maybe affixing his old floating island to the bottom of the ramp so that when he steps on it, it sinks into the water???

I'm planning to buy a 55 gallon at petco tomorrow. Will this fit o. The 55 gallon tank?

        1. as long as it's under 13 inches wide.

What is the material used for this

        1. Plastic. and metal for the top part that lamps sit on.

What can I use to make the ramp longer?

        1. you could most likely use egg crate with something on top or just plane egg crate.
