• - To fill your Village Collection Bird Feeder, simply lift the square chimney or cupola from the roof of the feeder and add bird seed. For cleaning, remove the chimney or cupola, then place the feeder on its side and firmly tap the bottom tray with the heel of your hand or a rubber mallet until the tabs on the underside slide through the openings and the tray releases. Because the tabs have a raised lip, several firm taps may be needed. Empty all old seed and debris, then scrub all parts with hot water and dish soap using a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt and buildup. Regular cleaning helps keep your feeder looking its best and provides a healthier feeding environment for birds
