Minocycline Capsules should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Consult your vet before changing or stopping the schedule. Finish the complete course even if your pet improves, as stopping early may cause the infection to worsen or return. Contact your vet ahead of time for refills. Avoid dry pilling, especially in cats and small animals, as the capsule can get stuck and damage the throat or esophagus. Give this medication on an empty stomach with a moist treat or a small amount of liquid (at least 6 mL of water is recommended). Notify your veterinarian if your pet has difficulty swallowing. If your pet vomits or seems unwell on an empty stomach, give future doses with a small amount of food. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian.
