I really like that my 40+ pound puppy can't chew through the all metal crate. So far he hasn't been able to get his snout on the plastic pan...fingers crossed. I use this for traveling in the back of my car. Tried many options including a barrier which he broke through in 30 seconds. This crate is great!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This crate was poorly crafted. My husband had to make some adjustments (bend it) to get the gate to close. If we had a larger, heavier dog, we would have returned as that larger dog could easily break out. Our dog is perfectly happy there at night and does not fight it. I would not recommend as it is poorly constructed and the parts do not match up.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 10 of 126 Questions

What size would you recommend for a Cavachon? I was thinking the small but not sure if I need to go up to a medium. He should max out around 15 lbs.

  1. I had a 20 lb terrier and used the small one mostly for traveling in the car. It also worked well in the house for short periods of time but I found for longer periods, like if you are at work all day, the medium one that is 19x30 worked much better because if provided some space to stand up and stretch out. I love having two doors so there are options when deciding where to place it.

For the double door crates, can the divider be attached to the side door? Or can you only attach the divider past the door frame?

What is the weight capacity for putting things on top of the 36 inch crate?

    1. Sorry for the delay in answering this question. We really don’t place heavy objects straight on the top of the crate due to worries that it may bend the crate. A leash, a dog bowl, dog toys, or a blanket that covers the crate all get placed on top of the crate at sometime or other. Rarely are all those items on top of the crate at once. We are not concerned it will crash down on the dog, but that it might bend the top down. If there is something heavy in passing, that we want to place on the crate, we will place it momentarily on a corner of the top of the crate. Hope that helps!

I just ordered this on line and I am in love with it. ONLY problem thus far. I can not, for the life of me find a cover to fit it. Everything I find is to small by a few inches

    1. Not to worry, we gave up on looking for a cover and simply found an inexpensive fleece blanket to put on top. It is moveable, so we can adjust it for our dog to see us in various places in the room, it is easy to remove and wash, it can be used at other times for a dog outside of the crate. It can be warmer or cooler depending how you place it.

Can you change the direction of the door?

    1. It doesn't appear to allow you to configure the way the door swings.

What is the difference between the life stages crate and the contour crate?

I own a 2 yr old, male, 27 pound Beagle and an 11 yr old,11 pound male miniature distend that I am needing to kennel. I'd like them to stay together. What size would work best for both of them to be comfortably crated together?

      1. I would use a 48” if you intend to put attached water and food bowls inside, so they can move around a bit. A 42” at the least if you are not. If they have an accident, they need to be able to get away from it. Good luck!

What is the dimensions of an XXL?

How much does the 42 inch lifestages crate weigh ? Also how much does the lighter Icrate 42 inch crate weigh ? Can't find weight anywhere.

        1. The 42" Lifestages double door crate weighs approximately 42 lbs. The 42" iCrate double door crate weighs 35 lbs.

I have a 5lb yorkshire terrier she has a 24" midwest crate but, I want to get one a little bigger should I go for the medium 30" or the large 36".

        1. Medium should be fine. I have s 70 lb. lab and he fits in the large well, although he does not stay in it for long periods of time. He stays in it until he finishes drying off after a bath if he will hi and take s nap in it.
