DIRECTIONS

Using the chart, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use this information as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog s diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/4 cup for every 3 oz of wet food. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean bowl daily. Transitioning: Gradually mix in the new food over 7 - 10 days, increasing the amount of Merrick Dog Food each day. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this food for exceptional palatability, with even picky eaters eagerly consuming it and licking bowls clean. Many highlight clean, recognizable ingredients and grain-free formula, noting visible improvements in coat shine, skin health, and reduced shedding. The small kibble size is frequently praised by owners of small and senior dogs as easy to chew. A few customers report their dogs disliked it or experienced digestive upset, though these cases are rare and significantly outweighed by positive feedback. Overall, most reviewers enthusiastically recommend it.

My vet suggested this food due to due to it having a salmon base instead of chicken and that it might help with my dog's skin allergies. So far so good!

My 2 year old shih tzu suffered from reoccurring ear infections. I switched his food several times, as the vet thought the ear infections were a byproduct of a food allergy. Needless to say, we switched to the salmon lil plates recipe and boom…ear infection cleared on its own and we haven’t seen another one since. This product has saved me so much money in vet bills. If your pup has a food allergy, give this recipe a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been mixing this in with our 3 dogs food for about a week now. They really seem to like it, especially my littlest one. Unfortunately about 4 days in one of my dogs started to develop excessive itching on his hinde legs and side. Then yesterday one of my other dogs started to have the same reaction. they have never had a problem like this before, and it makes me sad since my little one likes it

I have a 9-yr old shih-tzu and I started mixing this with her special diet food (prone to bladder stones), she loves it. I find it better to mix it since she’s a bit more runny if she eats it alone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first got it, I wasn’t sure if my dog would like it since he could be picky sometimes. He seemed to enjoy this food and I like that it meets his needs and that it will be benefiting him as he’s getting older. If you have a small dog and are looking for a particular type of food for them, this is a good option.
