Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this seat cover for exceptional protection against mud, water, and pet hair, with waterproof fabric that keeps car seats clean and dry even after river trips or muddy outings. The material is durable and easy to clean with a hose or vacuum, with many reporting years of reliable use. Installation is simple with adjustable straps and secure fit that holds steady even with large dogs. Reviewers appreciate practical features like side flaps, storage pockets, and unobstructed seat belt access. A few report fit challenges in smaller vehicles or note the material can be slippery, but most consider it excellent value for protecting upholstery.

This is my third Kurgo seat cover. These covers are amazing. My German Shepherd is always getting in bodies of water. My seat never gets wet from her wet paws and body. The only reason I got a new cover is my old one was 4 years old and developed a small hole. We use it very hard so I am always pleased they last so long. Highly recommend Kurgo!

We love hearing that this seat cover has been a match for even dense, wet shepherd fur! We always want to provide gear that can hold up to every dog's adventures- so many of ours take every chance to jump in the water, too. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!

I have two dogs that shed and it does not adhere to this material which makes it easier to vacumn. It has a nice pocket to store the leaches and it has the push in bars to keep the seat cover in place. I wish there were elastic or something to make the bottom panel stay in place. Overall, I really like this seat cover. It fits my Honda CR-V pretty well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Tim! We're so glad this seat cover has been easy for you to install and use and a good solution for car trips with your dog.

This was for a 24 Tacoma. The seat cover fits nice and snug and does not move around while both of my dogs are in the back. The seat belt holes are a little tight to squeeze through but still lined up fine. I was able to re-install my child's seat on top of the cover with no issues! So far it has held up great, all of the dog dirt/mud cleans off easily. The only issue is that this material is hard for my dogs to get a grip on. They slide around on this more than they would on just the seat but toss down a towel and they are fine. Overall, I'd buy another for our other vehicle.

Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, Levi! It's great to know this cover has been a good fit for your car, and kept your seats safe on adventures. We're sorry to hear, though, that your pups have had difficulty with grip! Though we'll certainly pass this feedback on to our design team, it is worth mentioning that if you have not tried trimming the fur between your dogs' paw pads, this can help many dogs increase their grip.

This was an update from the hammocks that hang off the drivers seats and this has been a great change! Our dog was unsettled by the hanging part so now he can either sit on the seat or the floor, and no changes need to be made when humans want to ride in the back! It didn’t latch to the seat as securely as I would have liked, which is why it didn’t get a 10

Thank you for this review, Danielle! We're so glad to hear this seat cover has been a better fit for you and your dog.

Great seat cover. We now have several in our cars and to change out since my main running dog gets car sickness. Easy to change in and out, and keeps the dog vomit off the seats.

We purchased our second identical cover for an additional car. Sturdy, easy in/out as necessary. Easy to clean off w hose. We use them in a Ford Explorer and Toyota Rav-4. Perfect fit for both. Tried the larger rover version way too big. Buy It!

is this compatible with a 2026 Subaru Outback?

Thanks for asking about this, Mick! This seat cover is around 55 inches wide. We would recommend measuring the backseat of your Outback to see if this width would be a good fit.

Can the Heather Bench Dog Car Seat Cover be washed in a washing machine and/or dried in a dryer?

We have the Kurgo bench seat cover & was able to wash it in the washing machine. It came out very well. We did not use the dryer. We hung it to dry. It dried very quickly.
