How do I know whivh product to choose if they all claim to be the best food to feed your bird and if pellets vs seed diets are worth the expense since they both claim to provide the nutrients a bird needs so how do I know which to choose
- Thanks for your question! The best choice depends on your bird’s species and eating habits, and we recommend starting with a food specifically formulated for your type of bird. While both fortified seed blends and pellet-based diets can provide added nutrients, one advantage of an all-pellet diet is that each bite provides consistent nutrition, whereas birds eating seed-based blends may selectively eat their favorite ingredients and leave others behind. Kaytee NutriSoft Parakeet & Cockatiel Food is an all-pellet daily diet formulated with essential nutrients and may be a good choice if you are looking for consistent nutrition with a softer texture that can appeal to picky eaters. Ultimately, your bird’s individual needs should also be considered, and an avian veterinarian can help determine the most appropriate diet.
