Don’t listen to the other guys review. I ended up picking this tank up and it’s pretty cool and quickly became one of my favorite tanks. The price for the kit is actually really good, even though I ended up using my own filter, light, and heater. Only thing I’d say I didn’t like is the lid, great quality but a bit too small for the tank.

Just purchased this today. The tank looks good, the silicone work could be much better. Looks like they use the most miniscule amount of silicone possible. I've heard and read the horror stories of these nano imagitarium tanks specifically the 5 and 6.8 gallon leaking or letting go at the seam. I'm hoping this snake 2.5 gallon size will help prevent that, leak testing it now. So far so good. Would of purchased the tank by itself to get the pump/ filter and light off my choice but unfortunately this kit is the only way to get the shallow 2.5 gallon tank. The lid is decent although the edges of the glass in the cutout to pick up the lid by are not sanded down and rounded, they are sharp so beware. The included pump and light seem meh like other reviews on the 5 gallon planted shrimp frameless tank kit but whatever. I bought this tank to start a nano dwarf neocaridina shrimp colony in so I will be getting a mini super compact sponge filter as the tank is only about 7 inches tall. Will also grab my own adjustable heater if needed, it's nice that it comes with a heater but it's actually a 15w , not 20w like the description on the page and it's preset for 78° not ideal. It should really be in the shrimp tank section if the store not the betta section, betta need 5 gallon minimum. But long as the questionable but ok looking silicone seams are bonded properly and it doesn't leak, this should be a great and amazing looking little shrimp tank. I will also be getting a proper light for it. Can't complain on the price with the labor day sale and pickup in store, online purchase as it gave a total of 30% off. Saved $25 on this kit or probably would of passed. I hope petco starts offering this tank by itself not in a kit soon. I will purchase another if they do. I will update this review after letting it sit with water in it for several days to ensure the tank does not leak. Also the box with light in it is double side taped to the inside of the tank, leaving a lot of glue residue on the glass that I had to use isopropyl alcohol and a flat razor blade to remove, not ideal. But I understand to keep everything from rattling around in shipping, otherwise was nicely packed. Plus the fact it comes with the heater and a glass thermometer unlike the 5 and 6.8 planted shrimp kit, if the light holds up and doesn't quit after a week or a month like others have had it week be nice for now as it has a built in light timer cycle on it for daylight with plants for either 8 or 10 hours. Really should have this also packaged as a planted shrimp tank kit as well petco, that's what it is ideal for, not a betta fish.
