Word of warning this this is not 42 microns as is posted in the question section. Tried to use this with purigen that recommends 180 microns which is larger then 42 and ended up with purigen all over the place e

Well made bag
This media bag is well made and has a drawstring. If you want it to stay shut tight, you need to tie a knot or a bow. Mesh was not fine enough to hold the Phosguard beads I wanted to put in my filter. It would be good for bio-media. Phosguard beads are pretty small.

I need to return this item but not for any bad reason. I only have a 2.5 gallon tank, and my tank can fit inside the bag. I need something smaller, the employee that helped me was great. She had great advice, she nor I paid attention to the bag size.

Can I put this bag over my filter so it doesn’t suck up my baby fish?
- Yes you can, but these media bags are pretty big. Depending on the type of filter you have though, it may probably be a better idea to go with a pre filter sponge for your filter if possible. If you have an internal filter then yes, as I have it also for fish and shrimp babies. If it is an external filter with an intake tube, a sponge pre filter would be the way to go. Hope this helps!
