External care: Use a soft cloth and ammonia-free glass cleaner to keep outside of aquarium clean. Replace filter media every 2-4 weeks. Internal care: Change 10-25% of aquarium water every 2-4 weeks, or as needed. Scrub aquarium wall with appropriate glass scrubber to reduce algae growth. Evaporation is common. Ensure water level is maintained.

Questions
I bought the 5.5 gallon tank but I don’t feel the filter does much. The water is green! Is the filter not working properly?
- from my experience, I had bad green algae. It was a lighting problem. Didn't realize my aquarium was getting light from my kitchen sky light. Then I had the tank lit for 6 hours a day. Now It only lights in AM for 1 hour and PM 1 hour. Algae gone

Hi, I recently asked a question about replacement filters however, when you answered the question all you did was link the SKU to the whole replacement unit. I just need a little replacement filters (the little white thing that goes inside)
- Do yourself and your fish a favor, and stop buying these disposable filters. Buy one large piece of coarse filter, and one large piece of fine filter (aquarium coop sells them cheap). Cut them to size, sandwich them together, and you’ll have a product that lasts longer and can be rinsed out during your regular water changes. This will save you money, retain all your beneficial bacteria, and reduce the risk of a clogged disposable filter plugging and overflowing. I ordered one of each from ACO and after a year, I’m only half way through (because I just cut off what I need).

I bought the 10 gallon aquarium kit. And wass curious if the lights that are attached to the cover, if it helps with plant growth? Better yet, are the light grow lights for the aquatic plants?

I need more information about the heater included with the 5.5 G tank kit. Light indicators and actual setting for the preset temp. The strip thermometer does not seem to be reading the temp it is supposed to be preset to.
