I requested this item from spotted by petco reviews. I wanted for my male betta fish bowl. Do to the way the mounting is made it was unable to attach to curve bowl. So i went and ungraded his tank to a 5.5 gallon tank. Now it attachs easily, very bright. This light is very sturdy, but a little heavy.

This light is surprisingly bright, and covers more area than I was expecting.  However, I’m not thrilled with the design.  The cord comes out of a rather large section on the inside of the tank so you have to have a lot of clearance (no lid or make a large cutout for it).  It would be optimal on a lidless aquarium.

Let’s start off by saying wow great light bright actually makes the tank stand out more and for is size being small it really brightens up the whole tank. Very easy and fast installation. I ended ordering another for my smaller tank. "I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review."

Only buy this if you want your house to catch on fire!!!! I contacted Imagitarium by sending them pictures in an email but received nothing back. I had the light for about a year, maybe a little more. One morning while working I was hearing pops and weird sounds, thinking it was something in the kitchen I went to investigate. Finally, I thought "Oh maybe it's the filter!" and turned around to see the controller ON LITERAL FIRE and smoking up the house. It burned through the cable entirely and if I didn't work from home permanently this story could have ended very differently. I'm VERY disappointed in the lack of accountability and response from Imagitarium/Petco on this matter. I could have lost EVERYTHING due to this light, but thank God I work from home and was able to put it out in time.

The little cap that is supposed to protect your glass from the screw is barely attached and kept falling off. The light itself works, but if you tighten the screw too much, it will make a HUGE crack in the glass. How much is too much? We may never know. But now I have a useless tank...yippee.

Maybe I should have thought of this, but it would be nice if the package said something to the effect that you need a clear top to the aquarium 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bought this product a couple of days ago, got my tank set up, attached the light and went to use the timer and it didn’t work. I’ve tried everything to get it to turn on, but it won’t and I can’t find my receipt to return it. The light is fine but I need the timer to work.
