Description

Hang-on-back filtration provides ongoing water purification for your aquarium through chemical, mechanical and biological filtration. Additionally, the use of coconut carbon media versus traditional coal carbon provides a more desirable form of chemical filtration. Choosing the right size aquarium filter can be a challenge. For most aquatic life, we recommend finding a filter that will turn the volume of your aquarium water an average of 6 times per hour. However, this will vary for slow swimmers that need less flow or for marine aquariums, which typically require higher flow.

Rinse and wipe down all parts with clean, soft towel prior to first use. Assemble and check for any broken parts. Frequent inspection, removal and cleaning of all parts is recommended for optimal functionality. Unplug prior to any cleaning or maintenance.

Have been trying to contact the support email at Imagitarium for over a month about where I can purchase a replacement impeller for an EX-FIL 55 back filter. No response and getting frustrated with this lack of product support.

Great for the $. Quiet and adjustable flow. I really like that it comes with an intake sponge that actually collects a lot of debris but isn’t so fine it clogs quickly. Cartridges have been able to be found easily. I just stock up when I see them available. It’s a store brand they won’t ever not stock them long term. Thats how they make their $!

I purchased the Imagitarium 55-gallon aquarium kit in October and it came with this filter. Unfortunately, the replacement cartridges have consistently been out of stock—both on the website and at my local Petco store—since my purchase. I have been unable to identify any compatible alternative cartridges, which leaves me without a viable way to maintain the filter as designed. This raises a significant concern about the long-term usability of the product. Had I known replacement parts would be this difficult to source, I would not have purchased this kit. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

This is a good filter, not to load,and when the cartridges get dirty the water flow doesn't get near the top like other filters do.

Good filter, what i like is when the pads get dirty the water doesn't go so high loke it's going to spill out of the filter like other brands, noise level is not bad,but finding new filter pads is hard.
