Imagitarium EX-FIL 30 Hang-On-Back Filter, 20-30 Gallons
Description
Hang-on-back filtration provides ongoing water purification for your aquarium through chemical, mechanical and biological filtration. Additionally, the use of coconut carbon media versus traditional coal carbon provides a more desirable form of chemical filtration. Choosing the right size aquarium filter can be a challenge. For most aquatic life, we recommend finding a filter that will turn the volume of your aquarium water an average of 6 times per hour. However, this will vary for slow swimmers that need less flow or for marine aquariums, which typically require higher flow.

- - Adjustable footing for framed and frameless 20 to 30-gallon aquariums
- - Biological filter cartridge and coconut carbon filter cartridge
- - Adjustable water flow valve
- - Adjustable height water inlet

Questions
Should I visually see water flow in the tank? Just installed it and is also making a constant humming sound. I don't see any water movement. Am unsure if I maybe did something wrong?
- Hi, The humming sound and lack of movement usually indicate that the filter needs to be primed. To fix this, simply pour some aquarium water directly into the back chamber of the filter while it is running until it overflows and starts cascading down the front. If the humming persists without flow, ensure your tank's water level is high enough and that the intake tube is securely seated. Thanks.

Where exactly is the motor? Is it within the housing unit or outside of it?
- The motor for the Imagitarium EX-FIL 30 Hang-On-Back Filter is located externally, attached to the bottom of the main housing unit outside of the aquarium.

Why can't I EVER find a replacement filter sponge for this filter?? One that is identical to the sponge in the box?
- Hi, Kindly check SKU 3865739, as a replacement filter sponge. Thanks.
