Quick feeding

Always wanted an automatic feeder for nights away or simply to have to not worry about stopping to feed the fish. This was a simple solution that was easily set up with no issues and worked like a charm

Yes, I recommend this product.

I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I have never used an automatic feeder, but this product convinced me that this is the way to go. The quality is great. It uses battery or cord, but it is more convenient to use batteries.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not great

Angels and Discus

I read the bad reviews and bought this anyway, as I discovered my Eheim was dead right before a vacation, and I was desperate. It will work if you have small food, but if you are running flakes through as I was, the discharge funnel will eventually get blocked, and you will come back to a feeder with the funnel loaded with flakes. I guess you could pulverize the flakes, but that shouldn't be how it works. I gave it an extra star because it must have worked for part of the vacation or my Angelfish would have been goners. Poor design. Would not buy again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not for small tanks - severely overfeeds fish

This feeder killed half of our fish in a 10 gallon tank in only 3 days. The remainder look very sick (probably constipated). The lowest setting pollutes the water and overfeeds fish. We had a complete disaster in our tank plus heartbroken kids when we returned from a weekend vacation.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We bought this for our Betta while we were away and unfortunately our sweet Betta didn’t survive. This may be suitable for for fish but do NOT get it for a Betta. I pretty sure I may have lost my snail as well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Convenient but doesn’t last long

I purchased this feeder for a 2 week trip to India and it worked perfectly. I continued to use it all the time. Unfortunately after about 6 months it no longer fully rotates. I have it set at 8 hours so it hopefully makes it all the way around in a day. I will be purchasing a new one because it made my life much easier while it was still working right

Yes, I recommend this product.

Feeder for fish

jack

Worked great, this thing kept fish alive for years, during trips, and then we just left up there to feed the fish. But, today after several years of great service, I accidentally knocked it over into the tank. Got it before it sank, cleaned it immediately and used an air gun to get the water out…. To no avail. It is gone. But it was great while it lasted!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Can I use this for a Dune Gecko?

  1. It is made for aquarium fish.

What is the smallest portion size it can deliver?

  1. Hi, The Imagitarium Automatic Feeder (SKU 3790731) features a manual slider on the feeding drum that allows you to increase or decrease the amount of food dispensed per rotation. While there is no fixed numerical minimum volume listed for each portion, the slider mechanism provides a wide range of adjustment for fine-tuning based on your specific food type. Thanks.

I don’t have the instructions. Mine doesn’t feed unless I push button to manually feed? Any help?

How long will it last on batteries?

    1. Hi Betta Dad, Good day! Battery life can vary depending on usage and the type of batteries used. Many customers report that it can last several weeks to a few months on two AA batteries. Thanks

The Imagitarium feeder indicates it can be powered by two AA batteries or by the included cable attached to a USB 5V charger (not included). My question is can you keep the batteries in place as well as the cable in case the house electric power goes out?

    1. I have both attached it should work if power runs out. Not sure how long the batteries last but once power kick on the power chord source will take over.
