Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this gazebo decoration for its beautiful aesthetic and fish-friendly design, with most noting their fish spend hours hiding and exploring inside. Many highlight the serene, zen-like atmosphere it adds to aquariums. However, some report paint chipping or flaking within weeks to months of use, and several mention sharp edges requiring sanding before use. A few note the structure may be smaller or larger than expected, or that it floats slightly. Despite durability concerns, most customers find the visual appeal and fish enjoyment worthwhile.

A little over 6 weeks and the paint is flaking off. One of two doing this. I also had to cut off the fake plants because they were sharp.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Collects algae so you have to clean it carefully. I’ve had it for about a year now and my fish love it and can’t be without it. It’s their favorite hiding spot. It has a few minor paint chips from past cleanings but I have found other ways to treat algae in my tank. The very thin layer that covers all my themed decor gives it a subtle sunken temple vibe and actually looks kind of nice. The rest of my tank still remains algae free

Yes, I recommend this product.

Paint started flaking only a few months after I got it. Picture is months after purchase.

The gazebo is a nice size and looks great in the aquarium but it's not a good fit for my betta. The structure is open on all sides which provides no cover (i.e. no hiking spot). I suspected this would be the case when I bought it but thought it would add a nice splash of color. My biggest gripe is that the paint is now lifting off and free floating in the tank. This is after only 6 months of use. NOT GOOD as these paint flakes could easily be ingested and cause illness. I'm sticking with unpainted decor moving forward.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Kind of hard to find Asian themed decor, I bought this and like another reviewer, my paint peeled off after cleaning some brown algae off it with a soft brush. In fact the sprayer from the faucet peeled some of the paint off. The decor was in the tank for about 5 mos.

Yes, I recommend this product.

What size are the openings? Big enough for angel fish to hide? I have a shy one that likes to have a spot to hide.

Maybe 2.5 inches or so. Only a baby angel could fit.
