These filters were very helpful in clearing the murky water in the fishtank! They made a huge difference in the tank and I would definitely recommend them to anyone with any size fishtank. I love that they are little cubes.

These media cubes are wonderful! The activated carbon within the media helps with keeping my tank at the right levels and ammonia free! And, they don’t leave a black residue in your tank like charcoal usually does!

I am using this is my canister filter for my turtle tank. I know it is primarily used for fish but has great multiple uses. It works great for my turtles, fits perfectly in a section in my filter. I was using a pad but this works also.

Did not seem to do much of anything except annoy my guppies they floated across the top of my tank until they had finally sank in random spots that and tangled up in the plant decorations which took a while to fix

These cubes are small but sturdy. Seems to be made of the same spongey material like a stippling makeup sponge you get in a Halloween kit but stronger. These are very poreous which is good for any beneficial critters to hide and spawn. This also allows for good flow through the material. My only concern is the lack of carbon dust. Sounds funny but true. For most activated carbon filters or media you run water and rinse the product to remove any fine dust that can agitate the gills of aquatic species. Despite the bag having a layer of dust as seen in the photos, the water passed through clear. Again with most activated carbon products the initial rinse will run slightly grey to almost black. This did not, so makes me a tad wary that either I did not rinse well enough or that these may break down over time and release large chunks. Only time will tell. A different note. I do love how small the cubes are, it makes it easy to get enough filter media into smaller spaces, making them great for smaller filters or sump setups!

I tried these filter media cubes in my sps only tank and so far so good. The carbon is helping with water clarity and the filter media is giving the live biological bacteria a place to live. If you are considering buying these I highly recommend them

These activated carbon cubes are super convenient and easy to use in your aquarium. Plus, they last for a long time!!! I threw a few cubes in the filter part of my tank so that I wouldn’t see them, and I’ve already noticed a change in the clarity of my fish tank. Would recommend!
