Broke after 2 weeks with water in it

Rick

I bought this tank on August 29th 2026 didn't fill the tank until 2 weeks later so it has had water in it less than 2 weeks and today I come home from work and this is a big chunk missing in the back corner on the seam. I am beyond irritated about this because that tank is cycling for a fish I rescued who is quickly out growing my other tank. I have spent a month getting everything I need for this tank for it to only hold water for 2 weeks?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor quality!

I bought this aquarium and it has been filled for 3 months and it already has a leak on one side, in one of the joints, the silicone is of poor quality and the store does not give me a guarantee after 30 days. What a pity that they fool you like that. It's a scam.

No, I do not recommend this product.

leaker and poor bracing!

I've had this tank for about 7 months now it is 1 of my 8 tanks and the OLNY IMAGITARIUM AND THE OLNY ONE IVE Experienced a full blow leak. I have had pin-holes before but the silicone finally blew out on the bottom front center Luckily I heard it dripping on my carpet While I was doing a water change So it was maybe only leaking about two minutes it lost 5gals just in that timeframe but it's on the second floor in my home so it's a little Sketchy I feel like the mid bracing on this is poor on top and bottom but the bracing on the bottom has cause the tank floor glass to sag and separate from the front wall glass It's decent for the price I'm going try to Macgyver it in some way but other than that I would give it one star if it wasn't 150 bucks I highly recommend Trying to find some way to Shim supports Underneath the bottom brace and using kraken or selsil silicone, striping and acetone all the old seal off and reseal all of it if this tank Interests you...please understand it I think this tank is not beginner friendly and is a salvage title out of the box and is not turnkey but you can save it with a little bit of time if I did not love my fish it would be a new home for a ball python or my amazon milk frogs;) ill post a update in Jan which will be 6mo. if this review will let me. Thanks, Ryder

Yes, I recommend this product.

Ive been around aquariums for a long time, and there is nothing wrong with this build quality. Silicone seals are even and the glass is thick and cross bracing is sturdy. This is a STEAL for 150 dollars.

Great Tank and Got It at an Amazing Price

Jay956

Bought this tank during the 50% off open-top promo event in April of 2026 and was able to combine it with the $30.00 off promo when you purchased $100.00 or more online, so I quickly placed the order on the app and picked up in store that same day. The tank came out $130.00 before tax, his was an amazing opportunity that I could not pass up on. The tank itself has been great, it’s been holding water for three months now and haven’t had any issues. I did have to clean up a few sections of the glass because there were silicone smudges and fingerprints. It was easy to clean up with a straight edge blade so it wasn’t a problem. But so far so good, I’ll update my review if there are any changes.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 10 of 22 Questions

Has this tank been redesign to address the leak issues described by some customers?

  1. Hi good day, Customer feedback regarding tank leaks was previously attributed to fabrication and sealant defects rather than a structural design flaw. The tank was not redesigned; instead, manufacturing quality controls and the sealant application process were updated to resolve the issue.

Can I drill this aquarium?

  1. Hi good day, yes, you can drill this aquarium as long as you use the specific glass drilling tool under a running water or under water to avoid breaking the glass.

Can I use this tank for a bearded dragon?

  1. Yes, you can use this 75-gallon aquarium tank for an adult bearded dragon, as it meets the recommended minimum habitat size of 75 to 120 gallons. However, because it is designed as an open-glass fish tank, you must purchase a secure, heavy-duty screen mesh lid separately to ensure proper ventilation and prevent your pet from escaping.

Okay but what are the dimensions?

  1. Hi ITEM DIMENSIONS Volume 75 GAL Length 48.03 IN Height 22.87 IN Width 18.03 IN Thanks

I have a tank stand that is for a 75 gallon tank, but one review stated that there's 2 extra inches added to the top of the tank, saying the tank is really an 81 gallon tank. So would a 75 gallon tank stand still work with this 75 (81) gallon tank?

  1. Yes, your 75-gallon tank stand will still work with this aquarium. The review mentioning an 81-gallon capacity refers to the tank being manufactured two inches taller than standard models, but the bottom length and width remain exactly 48 by 18 inches. Because the base footprint has not changed, it will fit securely on a standard 75-gallon stand. Please note that the extra height adds about 50 to 60 pounds of water weight, so we highly recommend ensuring your stand is a dedicated, heavy-duty aquarium stand built to handle a total filled weight of around 900 pounds.

Are there any specific lights that are meant for this aquarium or is it okay if I use one that fits the length?

  1. Hi, For the Imagitarium Open-Glass Aquarium Tank (75 Gallon), it is perfectly acceptable to use any high-quality LED light that fits the 48-inch length of the aquarium. Thanks.

How much does this tank weigh

  1. Hi, The Imagitarium 75 Gallon Open-Glass Aquarium Tank has an approximate empty weight of 135 lbs. Thanks.

Do you guys sell the this stand for a 75 gallon

  1. Hi, Yes, Petco sells the Imagitarium Modern Cabinet Stand that is specifically designed for 75-90 gallon rectangular tanks. Additionally, you can find other compatible options like the Aquatic Fundamentals Wood Aquarium Stand or the Ollie & Hutch Flipper Stand that support 75-gallon capacities. Thanks.

Can the tank be used outdoors?

  1. Hi, The Imagitarium 75 Gallon Open-Glass Aquarium Tank should not be used outdoors because direct sunlight and extreme temperatures can damage the silicone seals and cause structural failure. Furthermore, outdoor placement causes rapid algae growth and dangerous water temperature fluctuations. Thanks.

So when will they be available again?

  1. Hi, Currently, this aquarium is out of stock and we don't have a specific date for its return to the shelves. To ensure you don't miss out, you can set a reminder notification on the product page. This way, we will automatically notify you the moment it becomes available again! Thanks.
