I went into the acworth ga store to buy a 55 gallon tank for my daughter and I went through 3 tanks with an employee that were all cracked. The 4th one we looked at one that looked ok. Got it home and there was a Crack in the upper corner so I had to return it. On top of that when I went back the employee working in the fish dept. Showed me one of the cracked tanks I pointed out with the other employee and it was on the main display with a Crack right on the front of it. I will never buy anything from petco ever again

So far so good the tank looks vary good and is a bit taller The other brand 55 gal tanks,glass looks thicker as well

Do your research first before deciding on this tank! I brought mine home and unpacked it, I noticed that the center brace was bowed, set it up and filled it, transferred all of my fish into tuis new tank… and as I was sitting there admiring it, I heard a pop and noticed that the center brace broke right in the middle! The next morning, the front and back panels had shifted about 1/4 inch apart, forcing me to immediately start looking for ways to brace it. Another $75-100 later, and after getting nowhere with Petco regarding the issue, I put a temporary brace on and I just don’t trust it… the last thing anyone needs is to wake up, or come home to a busted tank and the catastrophe that goes with 55 gallons of water, fish, and gravel flooding the room. I’m So disappointed and upset. I now have to find another tank and start all over. Thankfully, I didn’t get rid of the 37 gallon I was inning before this. Not a happy customer…

Love the thickness of the glass, but the silicone seal was bad. Filled the tank to test for leaks - no leaks, BUT there was visible condensation inside every seal. Accident waiting to happen! Where one piece of glass butts up against another, there should be nothing but silicone between - no air! I’m returning this one, and will try again. I’m a little apprehensive about the next one, because there’s no way to check the bottom seals for this issue - hopefully if the sides are good, the bottom will be too.

I love this tank. The glass is thick and there wasn't leakage or issues with the tank at all. It's definitely a show piece due to the height of it.

I bought one for a salt water tank. Not only are they super easy to drill for bulkheads they are durable. They are made well. They have a lip for a lid or lighting. The tanks dimensions give you height and width. They work great. The price is great also. I’ve set up a lot of fish tanks over the years and you can not beat the price on this tank. This tank has served me well.

I don't write reviews often but I am so happy with this aquarium and it deserves a review. It looks a lot nicer than our last 55 gallon aquarium that eventually started leaking. There is none of the black framing on the sides and that makes it much more enjoyable to look at. Also this one is a little taller than the last one and the fish seem to really enjoy it.
