Packaging and instructions show handle but was missing.

The previous reviews made me wicked nervous but it arrived today and fits like a glove!

Like many others, I missed the part of the box that clearly states "Only compatible with Imagitarium" The website makes it clear enough on the image, but the box in the store does not. I feel that they should include some plastic edge clips for the apparent volume of people that buy this for non-Imagitarium tanks, it seems common enough. I own a 3D printer and will make these myself to still use the lid. It is otherwise a good value. my only real complaint is that The handle is only held on with tape and no alignment features, a template to align the handle would have been really nice. The plastic trimmable section is nice for those with clip on filters and such.

I purchased this glass lid when I bough the 20 gallon long Imagitarium tank. I was well aware of the poor ratings. However, I was also well aware that there are images and warnings that this lid/top only fits the tank I bought. All that I was prepared for and have no problems with. However, I was not pleased to see the black plastic hinge that runs along the entire length of the lid. A clear plastic one would be better to allow more light through. It amount of light will probably vary depending on how far away your light is from the lid. On the plus side, this fit my 20 gallon long Imagitarium tank perfectly. It's the most economical/inexpensive lid I could find without the hassles of building one myself. If I had kept the tank, I would have kept this lid. I suspect I would have been fairly happy with it despite the black hinge. However, I returned the tank because of some personal preference differences with the tank (it's etched logo). Since I returned the tank, I returned the lid that goes with it. I purchased it online and picked it up at the store without issue. I returned it to the store without issue. My money was refunded promptly without issue. I would have kept this lid if I had kept the tank that it goes on.

Good quality materials, but alas.... they are serious when this is only for their own brand tanks. About half an inch too short for my current 20 gallon long tank. Hey Tank Guys....develop products that solve problems for people and have some give/take in them. If they included $.15 of plastic/rubber liner for the side edge, this would have worked fine.

As of 2-21-2026 they still have not resolved this issue. I bought one anyway even after reading these reviews because I thought the problem would have been solved by now, it does not fit the imagitariun 20 Long tank and is about a quarter inch too short on the length and the width.

These do do fit Aqueon 29 gallon aqariums. The length is about 1/2 inch too short.
