Hills food worked so great for my adult cat. He had a skin issue that couldn’t be resolved. After switching to hills it allowed his sensative skin to clear up and he enjoyed the food so much with a crunchy texture.

My one dog has a really sensitive stomach. Switching her food is like roulette because I never knew what to expect. This food, however, was perfect for my dog. She didn't have any vomiting or bowel issues which was a big relief. She also surprisingly gets excited about the food which doesn't always happen. This food is now a staple for her in her diet.

I was given a bag of this. Do you think t would be okay for my Tibetan Terrier Mix? I usually give him Small Paws. I haven't opened the bag yet since I still have some of the Small Paws.

  1. Thank you for your question. These two products will have the same formulation. However, the kibble sizes will be different. Hill's Pet Nutrition

How do I know if I purchased the new formula or the old one? I just started my dog on this food this week and now I'm super afraid after reading the reviews. I hope everything stays okay with my dog's sensitive stomach.

  1. Thank you for your question. In March 2020, the kibble was changed to a disc shape. We also modified the level of Vitamin E (an antioxidant) in order to better align with Hill's clinical nutrition standard that is based on many studies of antioxidants in pets. Hill's Pet Nutrition

How close is this food to the prescription I/D? Really can't afford the Rx version anymore as we now have a big Walker Hound on it as well as a smaller dog. We have six dogs altogether and they are all rescues. Got to watch pennies.

  1. Thank you for your question. Prescription Diet® brand pet foods are formulated to address specific medical conditions that can develop in pets. We do not make Science Diet products that serve as substitutions for Prescription Diet products. Hill's Pet Nutrition

We have a Frenchton and he has bad gas. Does this food help with Gas?

  1. Not really, we finally had to pull our yellow lab off and went to a medicated food from the vet.
