In 2000, we adopted a pointer/pit bull mix (at 2.5 yrs old) who has been a great addition to our family. The dog has always had a large portion on his back that had alopecia. Our vet told us it is hereditary and something that he will always have. His skin (where there was no/minimal hair) was *very* dry, which seemed uncomfortable to him- so we purchased Chia seed oil that came in a bottle with a dropper. We applied the oil each day to the areas of his back that had dry/damaged skin for moisturization. At the same time, we began using the Hills Science Diet dog food that is specialized for sensitive skin. After 4 years of doing those two things, we started noticing improvement in his skin & coat. At the 5 year mark, we were able to stop using the Chia seed oil and just continued with giving him his daily Hills Science Diet sensitive skin dog food. We are now at the 6 year mark and the alopecia on his back is 90% improved. The improvement is truly remarkable- and it has been holding steady at this excellent state for the past 9 months. All we can say is that we are VERY PLEASED with this dog food because we're convinced that it was a KEY CONTRIBUTOR TO HIS SIGNIFICANT ALOPECIA IMPROVEMENT. Thank you, Hills Science Diet, for this dog food! Yes, it did need several years to do it's thing, but we are sold that you have a great product that is truly a great solution for dogs with alopecia. So, my vet recommended this, um, skin and Coat Hills dog food. My dog's skin is very sensitive, especially in the fall months and winter months. Um, he absolutely loved it, and I loved it because it helped his skin. With a lot of dog food, it affects his skin, and it gets red and itchy. Um, I definitely recommend it and especially if your vet's gonna recommend it, you know, it's a, it's a no-brainer. But it has healthy ingredients and looks good, and it's good dog food.

So the sensitive stomach was amazing. It absolutely helped my dog with his stomach and as well as skin issues. He has allergies. So when his allergies are up, his skin gets extra crazy. Definitely helps. Um, what I love the most is that his skin wasn't red anymore. His hair wasn't falling out, and it helped. And my dog liked it too.

My westie loves this food! He was on the puppy version of this and now that he’s older he still loves this too! There’s not a huge odor I notice and he digests it well! My dog has a chicken allergy so having this formula is great!

My dog loved the Hills Salmon Dry food! He has a sensitive stomach and so he cannot have chicken. He loved the taste of the salmon, and this was also easy for him to eat. This food felt like a good amount for the price! And, the packaging was super easy to open and transfer to a stored container. This product lasted in our food container for him a while so also has a good shelf life!

The Hills Sensitive Stomach and Skin dog food has worked wonders for my dog. She has a very sensitive stomach and she enjoys it very much. It stores nicely since it has a Velcro seal and lasts a good while. I’ve never had a problem with the appearance or the smell of the kibble so I recommend this to any dog owner that has a dog that has a sensitive stomach!
