Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this senior dog food for exceptional palatability, with even picky eaters eagerly consuming meals. Most report seamless digestive transitions with no vomiting, diarrhea, or gas. Many notice visible health improvements including shinier coats, reduced shedding, increased energy, and better mobility in aging dogs. Reviewers frequently cite veterinary recommendations and report using the formula for years with consistent results. A few customers noted mild digestive changes or formula adjustments, though these represent a tiny fraction of feedback. Overall, most consider it the ideal choice for senior dogs.

My dog did not like this food. It came out of the can looking ultra processed. He needed it to recover from a short illness but immediately went back to his human grade diet when this was completed.

We appreciate your feedback. We could not tell by your post if you had done a gradual transition or not. We generally suggest doing a 7-day transition, as this allows them time to get used to the new flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. We hope this is helpful. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Took my dog to the vet with my mom, they recommended this for our dog whose a little over 8 years old. we were worried because he likes what he likes, but surprisingly not only did he like this food, he ate all of it!! The price isn’t as bad as we thought it would be either, compared to others out there. We buy in bulk and it’s easy to store & the bag doesn’t fall apart easily. Overall great product that we are truely happy with.

We purchased this when my mixed dog turned 8 years old who is now 11. He always had stomach issues and now he is back to a healthy weight and loves meal time. I would not recommend this enough.

Not Good For Our Dog

This dog food made my pet incredibly sick. He would throw up most days, and his poop was a dark color and lumpy. Our vet insisted we keep him on it because it was “heathly”. We tried so many things to fix our dog, until we finally said no more and changed his food. Within a week he had more energy, his poop was a normal color and had no strange smell, and he was no longer having stomach issues or vomiting. I’ll never give my animals Hills products ever again.

Great for aging dogs

My dogs loved this food! They usually were picky with most foods, but they actually cleaned their bowls everytime they ate it! As they aged, it was helpful with their digestion and kept their coat shiny and healthy looking.

I definitely recommend this dog food!! My dogs have very sensitive stomachs and are very picky in what they eat so when you find something that you AND your dog likes you definitely want to tell everyone!! The packaging and quantity is amazing! We’ve always loved Hills!!
