Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this dog food for its exceptional appeal to senior and picky eaters, with nearly all reporting improved energy, shinier coats, and seamless dietary transitions. The small, easy-to-chew kibble size is especially valued by owners of dogs with dental issues or age-related eating challenges. Many note their previously picky dogs now eagerly consume meals without digestive upset. Reviewers consistently report visible health improvements, including weight stabilization and happier demeanor. A very small number mention their dogs refused the food, but this remains rare. Overall, customers consider this an excellent choice for aging or selective eaters.

Not happy

Been giving this dog food to my pup for a couple years, recently she has been getting sick. When I went to get more dry kibble I pulled out a big chunk that was moldy.

My dogs just won't eat it. They only go to it and smell it and walk away. Im not saying its a bad food, i simply saying my dogs wont touch it. So I had to donate it.

I have a French bulldog who eats this exact food two times daily. We have solid poops and healthy pups. My French bulldog doesn’t really chew her food that much so the small tiny biscuits are perfect for her and they are easy to scoop, she never gets bored. My 1st frenchie was on these biscuits from 2013 untill she passed in 2025 and she was super healthy her whole life. A good diet really helps and I think the price is very fair compared to a cheaper food with half the goodness.

My dog who is a Malshi, is a rescue and was on this dog food at the shelter she was at. The veterinarian that was taking care of it recommended it. My dog, Gwendolyn, loves this food and eats it readily. She seems to really enjoy it and her digestion is perfect.

It's an easy-to-prepare food that dogs like. We bought this food for a dog in the neighborhood. I see that many of the ingredients are natural and have a good texture for dogs. It's easy to store and lasts for quite a while. It is good for the digestion and intestinal health of older dogs. Excellent product to keep your senior dogs happy.

This diet is well balanced for seinor dogs and is great for my pup who needs support in various areas of his health especially for his heart disease and need for low sodium. He absolutley loves this food and I love that It has fish oil and probiotic built in already because he refuses to take supplements.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions

My 11 year old pomeranian is used to getting wet food with her dry food at night time. im not sure if I'll need it yet, but what is recommended to use with the senior 11+ dry food?

  1. We have a 16 1/2 year old mini doxie and I mix the food with wet science diet.

How much should I feed my 12 pound senior dachund a day?

  1. My 12 pound, 15 YO Morkie eats Science Diet small paws Adult 11+. She gets 1/3 cup in morning and 1/3 cup in evening.

How hard is this food? My senior Chihuahuas struggle to chew, and wet food doesn't work out for us.

  1. Soak the food in a little water for a couple of hours before meal times and it will soften the hard kibble making it easier to eat.

How does “nibble size” kibble compare with “small bites” kibble.  I always get my 14 pound dog the adult size kibble so he has to chew it; he eats so fast, sometimes he chokes on the small bites.  Is nibble size kibble larger than small bites?

  1. No, it's small...likeness to cat food.

What is the caloric count in a cup of this dog food?

  1. Thank you for your question. There is 371 calories per cup. Hill's Pet Nutrition

What is the sodium content in this dog food?

  1. Thank you for your question. The sodium content is 0.30% per cup.
