Does not replace Aging Care loaf

PA75

Aging Care was much better, PLEASE bring it back. We have had to try 5 other foods, including this one, that don't compare to Aging Care and they all made my dog very sick. We have done consults with Hill's and they admitted that there is nothing else on the market with the same profile as the Aging Care so why would they discontinue something with no replacement?

Finally a diet my dog loves!

I’m so sorry this food isn’t working for some pets but this is the first food that my 16+ senior dog has ever gotten excited about! He hovers at meal times and wolfs it down. His vomiting has stopped, his stools are formed and dense, and the spring is back in his step after being both chronically and recently, acutely ill. I am so grateful, thank you Hills. The transition over 10 days also went smoothly and this is now all he eats.

More flavor options would be great, but still gets the job done e!

My 18 yr old Pom mix had to switch from Aging Care to this food. He does enjoy the can food a bit better than the kibble, but I feel like he gets burnout on the same flavor. I was hoping there would be more available options in flavors. However, as far as this food doing “its job” 10/10 would recommend, My dog has CKD and Chronic Pancreatitis and the K/D food was just to hard on his stomach. His bloodwork has stayed about the same and that is the most important thing!

Causes itching, messy

My dog has changed since changing to this food from g/d. This food is messy and gets in her hair. She has started to chew her paws until the fur is gone, scratch her neck and rub her eyes. Her stool has changed and she has vomited. Why is it higher in sodium?! On g/d, she was cheerful and happy. Why was it discontinued?

Would give it zero stars!

My Morkie, who has Cushings disease, high cholesterol, etc hates it! Why can't Hills come up with a palatable food?! It doesn't help her condition if she won't eat it!

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear that we didn't get your pets taste of approval for this formula and we will be sure to share your comments with our team. We generally suggest doing a 7-day transition, as this allows the pet time to get used to the flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. Additionally, we offer a 100% guarantee on our products; please contact the retailer if you would like to return this purchase.

Please bring back g/d

Can no longer get g/d which was the only food that worked for my dog's chronic pancreatitis. Multi organ has caused problems. Stool is now inconsistent, sometimes there is constipation and other times it is pale and soft. Her stool had been stable for a year on g/d and suddenly it changed when she had to start on multi-organ. Creatinine value increased immediately and has remained elevated, vomiting has returned after a year. We tried every low fat diet on the market and g/d was the only one that worked, I don't know what to do. We even tried a nutritionist and internal medicine vet. This is terrifying to not be able to get a food that kept her healthy. The stew is also very messy and gets all over her mouth. She stopped drinking water the day I started to transition to this and will not drink water unless I mix it in. Everything changed the day I started transitioning her and we have already tried everything else. I am devastated.

A healthier option & my dog loves it!

I started my 12 year old Shih Tzu, Lily, on this diet based on the advice of my veterinarian. She was recently diagnosed with heart disease & needed a healthier, lower salt diet. She loves this food & transitioned to it very easily.
