Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this renal diet for cats with kidney disease, reporting that their cats willingly eat it and show measurable health improvements including stabilized creatinine levels and increased energy. Many describe it as the only kidney diet their pets will eat, particularly those with advanced kidney failure or picky appetites. The soft, moist texture is valued by owners of cats with dental issues. However, some customers note limited flavor options and request smaller can sizes to reduce waste. A few report their cats refuse the food entirely, and several mention the recent formula change has reduced palatability.

My cat liked it and ate it without any problems, the kibble size is good too, she seems to enjoy the chicken flavor , and I like that she didn’t leave much in her bowl, pretty happy with it

It's hit or miss with my kitty. I would think the recipe would be the same for all batches made but sometimes he just won't eat it. Other times it's like it's the best stuff he's ever eaten.

I have two 16 year old cats with early renal disease. I was feeding the early renal food but it was discontinued. My cats have really long led this food. They are eating it great and my oldest cat blood has improved. So far so good!

Kidney care Pate chicken.

George has been on this for almost a year. He doesn't really like it so I mix it with other cat food. But one thing that did help is he apparently only likes it cold. So I always start with a cold can of cat food. And i keep the cans in the fridge. And although he likes fish this was the only flavor besides beef that he'll eat.

Great food for kidney issues.

Both of my cats love the tuna version of this food. So glad to find a kidney food that they like.

Questions

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Are there treats available for us to get for our feline fur babies with kidney disease?

How many cans in a case?  How much per can without multiple shipments?  Don’t know yet how much my cat will eat of this new food.  Thank you.

    1. There are 24 cans in a case. There are 2 different sizes of cans so you can choose which size you want. Since this is a prescription food, I first bought a few cans at my vets office to see which flavor he likes best.

I don’t see can size/or how many cans?

    1. 5.5 ounces

I have the prescription for feline k/d from my veterinarian, should I scan it and send it to you or should I go to the nearest Petco store for filling? My cat was started on Hills prescription diet k/d pate with chicken and the dry formula too.

    1. Hi Judytere, It should be scanned and sent to Petco. We suggest that you can call our Customer Relations Department at 888-824-7257 so that you can be provided the process on this. Thanks,
